How can I rent a truck?
Stop by your local Rental Center to see what trucks are available for rent. If you'd like confirmation before you drive there, call first to inquire about renting a Load 'N Go moving truck, flatbed truck, or pickup truck. Penske moving truck rentals and moving vans have different rules. You may also check out our truck rental page to see if what you need is in stock at your local store.
Can I rent a truck for a week?
Rent a pickup truck, van, or flatbed truck for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes may be plenty. Otherwise, consider renting it by the week or the day, depending on how long your project is. Don't forget to factor in the drive to and from the store, as you must return it to the same store where you rented it. Penske moving truck rentals allow round-trip options as well as one-way options, and they have different terms. Be sure to read the documentation before choosing your vehicle.
Do I need to refuel the rental truck when I'm done?
Yes, please fill up the truck before you bring it back. Make a note of the amount of gas in the tank when you receive the truck, and fill it with enough gas to match that level. If you don't, you'll have to pay a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.
Can I rent a truck with only a driver's license?
No, you also need to be 21 or older, in addition to holding a valid driver's license. Depending on your state, you may require car insurance, as well as a deposit or credit card hold, too. Please bring your credit card for Home Depot truck rentals, as we don't accept cash. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements.
