How do I know if the tool I want is available?

Stop by the Rental Center at your nearest Home Depot to see what tools you can rent. You can also call first to confirm a tool's availability, or visit our tool rental page to see if it's offered at your store. If it's not, try another nearby store or contact our Rental Center associates to learn where that tool is available. How long can I rent tools?

You can rent a tool for four hours or more. Simply choose the length of time that suits you. Small DIY projects may only require a rental for a few hours, and we can accommodate large projects as well. You've got options to rent tools by the day, month, or week, too. If you need it longer than what you signed up for, call your Rental Center for an extension and avoid late fees.

When can I bring the tools back?

It's fine to return the tools early if you finish your project ahead of schedule, but on-time works, too. Just make sure to bring them back by the deadline listed on your rental paperwork. Please clean off any grime and dust from the tool as well. If you need it longer, call your local rental center to see if you can extend your rental period.

Do table saw rentals come with saw blades?

Yes, saw rentals usually come with blades, but we recommend that you get a new one. Your rental likely won't come with a new blade. However, you might get lucky and have a sharpened blade on the saw. As there's no guarantee, buy a suitable blade, just in case.
