Access to this store can be a challenge due to the amount of traffic on the street trying to enter or exit the parking lot. This store's prices are usually higher then the local competition.

We moved here from New York and had to do some major work on the house. All the people we dealt with from the cabinet department to plumbing and electrical were extremely helpful. The store employee's actually make you feel like you've known them for years.

If you need a new appliance we recommend going to the Johnson City Home Depot and ask for Terry in appliances. If Terry is off work then leave and come back when Terry is available. Terry is great to work with in appliances.

Ordered 2 Milwaukee power tools online. One from the Bristol Virginia store and one from the Johnson City Tennessee store. Bristol Virginia store sent just the tool and not the kit, when I paid for the kit. Spoke with the manager and they accommodated me and helped me tremendously by giving me the pieces to complete the kit for the tool. Just needed the battery and charger. Never got the bag but wasn’t worried about it. Highly recommend the Bristol Virginia store. Now that being said traveling 45 mins down the road to the Johnson City Tennessee store to pickup my 2nd tool, that same day! I spoke with the front desk. The associate stated that they did not have that tool kit in the store that they couldn’t get it. I asked nicely if they could accommodate me with making the pieces up to complete the kit. They had the tool separately and battery with charger in stock. Just not the kit with all 3 pieces that I ordered online. I asked the Johnson City store the exact same thing in the Bristol Virginia store did 45 mins earlier, and the manager said no that they were different tools. I showed them that they were the exact same tool and model number and everything. The manager stated no we can’t do something like that. I advise them that they took care of me in Bristol Virginia that way. The manager didn’t believe me and was treating it like I wanted a hand out or freebie. Also the manager stated that I could keep the online order and the chance they got one in stock they would call me to let me know it was there but no guarantee that they would ever get one. So basically keep my 110 dollars just in case they might get one. Now after 30 bucks in fuel to drive down to Johnson city Tennessee and a 30 buck shipping fee to get the kit delivered to my house. I basically spent the same amount of money as me buying all the pieces to complete the kit inside the store. I’m very laid back when it comes to this stuff but if it’s online and and shows 10 plus in stock in the store. Then I order it, it’s the wrong one or to be told they are not in stock, and to get told that they can’t help me out at all. It is very aggravating. It’s not about the money. I don’t worry about the money because I’m getting a very quality tool. Just the customer services is horrible and poor in the Johnson City Tennessee store. I will never go back there, it’s just a waste of my time. I wasn’t looking for a handout. I would have paid for all the pieces separately with a little discount or something for my time wasted but to be treated like I wanted a handout and to be told there was nothing anything anyone could have done when another store just did what I was requesting. Very poor customer service.

The store is clean & associates are super friendly. Besides Ginny Kio's & Jessica Robinette helpfulness I must give the paint department my thanks. They took the square piece of paint that I took from the wall of my new home, because the original owner didn't leave the name color of the paint & I needed to fix some spots, and Home Depot paint department MATCHED IT 100% I WAS SO THRILLED & THANKFULL NOT TO HAVE TO REPAINT MY WHOLE UPSTAIRS. Thank You

The associates in the flooring area are very friendly and professional. They know their products and were able to help me make a solid decision for my new house. Home Depot has a much better display than the competitor, their service is solid and the process was easy along with affordability - its hard to beat JC Home Depot's flooring department. It was a pleasant shopping experience.

The store is always full of friendly staff and has a better product selection than the other home improvement stores around the area. The cashier Laura really went above and beyond helping me get my new smoker!
