Can I rent a van?

If you'd like to be sure of what's in stock, call first to inquire about renting a Load 'N Go moving truck, pickup truck, or flatbed truck. Penske moving van rentals and moving trucks have different rules. You may also visit our truck rental page to see if what you need is offered at your local store.
Can I rent a truck for a week?
Rent a pickup truck, van, or flatbed truck for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes might be plenty. Otherwise, consider renting it by the day or the week, depending on the length of your project. Remember to factor in the drive between the store and the job site, as you'll need to return it to the same store you rented it from. Penske moving truck rentals allow round-trip options as well as one-way options, and they have different terms. Be sure to read the provided documentation before you decide on a van.
Do I need to refill the rental truck with gas?
Yes, please fill up the truck before you bring it back. Make a note of the fuel level when you receive the truck, and fill it with enough gas to match that level. When you don't refill the rental vehicle, you'll have to pay a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.
Can I rent a truck with only a driver's license?
No, you also need to be 21 or older, in addition to holding a valid driver's license. Depending on your state, you may require car insurance, as well as a deposit or credit card hold, too. We don't accept cash for Home Depot truck rentals, so please bring your credit card. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements, so read those if you plan to rent a Penske truck.
