Can I rent a tool for an hour?
Tool rentals start at four hour time slots. Simply choose the length of time that suits you. Small home improvement jobs may only require a rental that's a few hours long, and bigger jobs are no problem. You've got options to rent tools by the day, month, or week, too. If you need it longer than what you signed up for, call your Rental Center for an extension and avoid late fees.
When do I return the tools?
You can return the tools early if you finish your project sooner than predicted, but on-time works, too. Just make sure to bring them back by the deadline listed on your rental paperwork. Please clean off mud and grime from the tool as well. If you need the tools longer, call your rental center to see if you can extend your rental period.
Can I rent a truck for a week?
Rent a pickup truck, van, or flatbed truck for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes may be enough time. Otherwise, consider renting it by the week or the day, depending on the length of your project. Be sure to factor in the drive to and from the store, as you'll need to return it to the same store you rented it from. Penske moving truck rentals allow round-trip options as well as one-way options, and they have different terms. Be sure to read the documentation before you choose a vehicle.
Do I need to refuel the rental truck when I'm done?
Yes, please fill up the truck before you return it. Note the original fuel level when you receive the truck, and be sure to fill it with enough gas to match that level. When you don't refill the rental vehicle, you'll be hit with a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.
Can I rent a truck with only a driver's license?
No, you must hold a valid driver's license and be over the age of 21. Depending on your state, you might require car insurance, as well as a credit card hold or a deposit, too. We don't accept cash for Home Depot truck rentals, so please bring your credit card. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements, so read those if you plan to rent a Penske truck.
