How long can I rent tools?
Tool rentals start at four hour time slots. Simply choose the length of time that suits you. Small home improvement jobs may only require a rental for a few hours, and long-term projects are no problem. You've got options to rent tools by the day, month, or week, too. If you need it longer than what you signed up for, call the Rental Center for an extension and avoid late fees.
When can I bring the tools back?
You're welcome to return the tools early if you finish your project sooner than predicted, but on-time works, too. As long as you return it by the deadline you were given when you rented it, you'll be good to go. Please clean off mud and grime from the tool as well. If you need it longer, call your rental center to see if you can extend your rental period.
Can I choose how long to rent a truck?
Rent a pickup truck, van, or flatbed truck for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes could be plenty. Otherwise, consider renting it by the day or the week, depending on how long your project is. Remember to factor in the drive between the job site and the store, as you'll need to return it to the same store you rented it from. Penske moving truck rentals allow round-trip options as well as one-way options, and they have different terms. Be sure to read the provided documentation before selecting a vehicle.
Do I need to refill the rental truck with gas?
Yes, please fuel up the truck before you bring it back. Match the level of gas that was in the tank when you received the rental. If you don't, you'll be hit with a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.
Do I just need a driver's license to rent a truck?
No, you must hold a valid driver's license and be 21 or older. Depending on your state, you may require car insurance, as well as a deposit or credit card hold, too. We don't accept cash for Home Depot truck rentals, so please bring your credit card. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements.
