Customer service & (associate) assistance has deteriorated throughout the years at this location. There has been several times now that I have gotten associates who were't of any help because they were not knowledgeable of the product or did not know if the store carried the product, and if they "thought" the store did carry the product, they did not know which aisle/department. On one occasion, I spent close to 30 minutes trying to find a product after asking 3 associates! Each one gave me different aisles where I could find the product, which I did not end up finding and I left the store feeling extremely frustrated. So I ended up ordering the product from Amazon instead. So it is too bad this happens way too often because many homeowners still go to Home Depot to purchase items for home improvement purposes. I, for example, have found alternative stores near my area to go to that will provide me the customer assistance I need (ranging from paints to plants) and get my questions answered by a knowledgeable product customer service associate. Or ordering products online if I already know what I need, thus avoiding the hassle of dealing with associates who lack efficient customer service at Home Depot.

This store is clean and the associates (when you can find them) are very knowledgeable about their area. Plus, they handle the rush hour very well. This is my go to store.

Store has had its problems before & for at least 6 to 8 months - has been very good, but this last episode of when paying with a credit card on a Pro-account instead of the machine saying is this the right amount or no, which I automatically said yes; but it actually said do you want to register the card & when I realized that it took over 28 minutes to delete the registration, All the while 3 associates saying it could not be done. But it was finally done through one associate that called the credit center. What is unbelievable is that the person at the credit center was trying to discourage the removal. Home Depot - you need to take care of your customers & what they want - not how you prefer to have things happen! Having 28 minutes lost does mess up your schedule for your jobs of the day!

This store is very clean, organized and easily accessible. Parking is limitless and store employees are helpful , especially employee Mr. Jose Santos Hernandez. He is a little older gentleman but he sure knows his store and he goes out of his way to give that old fashion customer service that so many businesses lack these days.

Your Store is always clean, great service, sometimes have a problem finding assistant. Otherwise Im very happy. Thank you .

The Downey Home Depot has the best customer service in assisting there customers far and beyond over other locations. Thank you Home Depot, Downey, CA.

Its a great store

Most often the employees are knowledgeable and helpful! The store is always neat and clean! And as a disabled customer, I was pleased that the store added additional electric carts!

This place is garbage. All the employees walk around with terrible expressions on their face. I asked some older guy to help me move a water heater and he didn't even acknowledge me. He just walked up the aisle and stood in front of the water heaters. He stayed looking at me, and I just stared right back. I'm not an animal, I can use my words to communicate, he should too. He finally said, agitated, "Well? Which one?" and I told him. He started dragging it and tilted it, STILL WITHOUT TELLING ME A SINGLE THING. I didn't know if he wanted me to lift it from the other end, or to just push my flat cart closer so he can put it on himself. So I just stood there waiting on instruction. He then says, "I can't do this on my own." And before I can give him a piece of my mind and tell him he needs to communicate better because I can't read his mind, another rep comes and is EXTREMELY friendly and helpful. But it wasn't because he wanted to excel in customer service, it's because he wanted to come up on my old water heater. He said he fixes them on the side. I was ready to say no, but my plumber was there and he said yes. My plumber then told me, "Let him have it. If he fixes them on the side, then he can make some extra cash." So despite my gut telling me this is wrong, I decided let the man have it because I was over this entire visit. The guy gives me his cell, and I text him it's ready to be picked up, and he asks for a picture. I send him a picture and he says great I'll be there later today. It's been 2 days and now I have an old busted water heater sitting on my lawn, when my plumber could've hauled it away for me 2 days ago. Now I have to get creative on what to do with it, and I can't lift anything right now because I'm injured. If I don't move it, I may get cited from the city. This is the absolute worst experience I've ever had at a hardware store. This Home Depot isn't ever a pleasant experience, but this time, they just went over board on how awful my time here was. I will never shop here again. GARBAGE!!! And to the guy who was supposed to pick up my water heater, I hope that you reconsider trying to make a profit on the side from this place.

I always find what I'm looking for, from cleaning products to tile and plants light fixtures and paint. Customer service friendly staff. Store is organized and prices are reasonable.

Very nice place

The store was clean, the employees were in a great mood and I was greeted twice by very friendly employees. I found the paint products that I was looking for. I had a long list of electrical products and I was able to get every single one. The cashier was very nice, he opened the check out stand as I was approaching, looking for an open one. He flagged me down and cheerfully took care of me.

So your employee asked me to take survey and because off his service I felt good about doing this survey, but again it did not ask me for the employee that helped me! Really??? Employee A for effort and HD D for execution!

The Home Depot #6627 in Downey, CA. is my place to shop for all of my home improvement needs. They have everything that I need at a very reasonable price. The employees are always friendly and know what they are doing. They are knowledgeable and always help me get in and out of the facility on time to get to where I need to be. Customer service is excellent! I couldn't be more happier as a customer. Thank you for your outstanding service. Teamwork always gets any job done.

It's ok

Items are easy to find and enough quantities in the shelves. I feel safe every time I visit the store - equipment operators are guided every time they move around the aisles. Store is reasonably clean. Cashiers are very efficient and respectful.

The most convenient and affordable place to find goods such as electronics, lumbers, construction materials, flowers and many more. We had many options of goods. The staffs are very helpful and friendly

1. Associates are very cooperative, respectful and well-oriented. 2. Store is well-placed - not situated in a congested area and free of traffic. 3. No problem about parking. 4. Clean and items are well-stack. 5. It looks like a one store shop because you can find almost all items you need. 6. Self check out is available and cashiers are fast during check out.
