When you're beginning to dive into a DIY job, you might not have all the required tools in your shed or garage. That's when you should stop by The Home Depot Tool Rental Center in Central Plano.
Tool Rental
Our tool rental options enlarge your toolbox with the exact tools you require to complete the job. It's not practical to keep a specialized tool when you're rarely reaching for it. When you're thinking about getting a new tool, give it a spin before you select which to get. Whatever your situation, we have the tools you're looking for.
Tame the Lawn and Trees Early
Greet the spring with outdoor power equipment rentals and whip the yard into shape again. Neaten around the garden and shrubs with rental trimmers and edgers, and get that driveway and sidewalk clean again with a pressure washer rental. Your outdoor oasis will be refreshed and ready for new spring flowers before you know it.
Make Painting Easier with Paint Sprayers and Rental Ladders
Take advantage of warmer weather to paint outdoors. Rent paint sprayers to get optimal coverage and work much faster than you would with a brush or roller and a paint tray. Rent scaffolding and ladders to reach elevated areas when painting fences, houses, and sheds. We carry extension ladders and step ladders for medium or smaller jobs, so you won't have to wait when inspiration strikes.
Load 'N Go Trucks
To move large tool rentals or anything else, we keep pickup trucks ready to roll. Choose the correct size for your project so you can keep your timeline running smoothly. As your source for DIY projects, packing, and storage needs, it's smart to make us your source for truck rental as well.
Whether you're searching for power tools like miter saws, everyday tools like drills, or large industry tools such as concrete mixers, we've got you covered. We'll even rent you the vehicle to get it to your home. Let us help you complete your next home improvement project with the perfect tools and transit for the job.
How do I rent tools and trucks?
Stop by the Rental Center at your nearest Home Depot to see what trucks or tools you can rent. If you want confirmation before you drive there, call first to inquire about a truck or tool. You can also check out our truck rental or tool rental pages to see if what you need is available at your store. For more information on renting tools, read these Tool Rental FAQs, including terms and conditions for the equipment.
Can I rent a tool for an hour?
You can rent a tool for four hours or more. Simply choose the length of time that suits you. Small home improvement jobs may only require a short rental period, and we can accommodate large projects as well. You've got options to rent tools by the day, month, or week, too. If you need it longer than what you signed up for, call the Rental Center to arrange an extension and avoid late fees.
When can I bring the tools back?
You can return the tools early if you finish your project sooner than predicted, but on-time works, too. Just make sure to bring them back by the deadline listed on your rental paperwork. Please clean off any grime and dust from the tool as well. If you need them longer, call your rental center to see if you can extend your rental period.
Can I rent a truck for a week?
Rent a pickup truck, van, or flatbed truck for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes could be enough time. Otherwise, consider renting it by the week or the day, depending on the length of your project. Be sure to factor in the drive between the job site and the store, as you'll need to bring it back to the same store you rented it from. Penske moving truck rentals allow round-trip options as well as one-way options, and they have different terms. Be sure to read the documentation before choosing your vehicle.
Should I refill the rental truck before I bring it back?
Yes, please fuel up the truck before you bring it back. Note the amount of gas in the tank when you receive the truck, and be sure to fill it with enough gas to match that same level. If you don't, you'll be hit with a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.
Do I just need a driver's license to rent a truck?
No, you also need to be 21 or older, in addition to holding a valid driver's license. Depending on your state, you might require car insurance, as well as a deposit or credit card hold, too. Please bring your credit card for Home Depot truck rentals, as we don't accept cash. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements.
