When you're preparing to make the leap into a DIY project, you might not have all the tools you need in a shed or garage. That's when you should stop by The Home Depot Tool Rental Center in Blue Springs.
Tool Rental
Our tool rental options enlarge your toolbox with the precise tools you require to complete your project. It's not practical to get a specialized tool when you're only using it once in a while. When you're thinking about buying a new tool, give it a spin before you decide which to get. Whatever your situation, we have just what you're looking for.
Make Painting Easier with Rental Ladders and Paint Sprayers
Make the most of longer spring days and paint outdoors. Rent paint sprayers to get professional coverage and work much faster than you would with a brush or roller and a paint tray. Rent ladders and scaffolding to reach elevated places when painting fences, houses, and sheds. We carry extension ladders and step ladders for medium or smaller jobs, so you won't have to wait when inspiration strikes.
Rent Nailers, Air Compressors, Power Tools, and More
Tackle serious projects with serious power tool rentals and air compressors. Take your finish carpentry to the next level with nail guns and power sander rentals to get all your work smooth and cleanly fastened. Construct a new wall, shed, or house faster and more efficiently with construction nailers, hammer drill rentals, and other tools that suit your project.

How do I rent trucks or tools?
Stop by your local Rental Center to see what trucks or tools you can rent. If you want to be sure of what's in stock, call first to inquire about a truck or tool. You might also check out our tool rental or truck rental pages to see if what you need is available at your store. For more details on renting tools, read the Tool Rental FAQs, which includes terms and conditions for the equipment.
Can I rent a tool for a day?
Tool rentals start at four hour time slots. It depends on how long you'd like to rent them. Small home improvement projects may only require a rental that's a few hours long, and we can accommodate large projects as well. You've got options to rent tools by the day, month, or week, too. If you need it longer than your initial rental period, call the Rental Center for an extension and avoid late fees.
When do I bring the tools back?
You can return the tools early if you finish your project faster than planned, but on-time works, too. Just make sure to bring them back by the deadline listed on your rental paperwork. Please clean off any grime and dust from the tool as well. If you need it longer, give the rental center a call to see if you can extend your rental period.
Can I rent a truck for a few hours?
Rent a moving van or truck for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes might be enough time. Otherwise, consider renting it by the day or the week, depending on the length of your project. Be sure to factor in the drive between the store and the job site, as you'll need to return it to the same store where you rented it. Penske moving truck rentals allow one-way rentals as well as round-trip options, and they have different terms. Make sure to read the documentation before choosing your truck.
Do I need to refill the rental truck with gas?
Yes, please fill up the truck before you bring it back. Make a note of the original fuel level when you receive the truck, and fill it with enough gas to match that level. When you don't refill the truck, you'll have to pay a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.
Can I rent a truck with only a driver's license?
No, you must hold a valid driver's license and be 21 or older. Depending on your state, you may require car insurance, as well as a deposit or credit card hold, too. We don't accept cash for Home Depot truck rentals, so please bring your credit card. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements, so read those if you plan to rent a Penske truck.
