All three of the stringer split, one is really bad that I had to glue it together and put metal plate to keep it together.

I made a online purchase for a project. I waited a week for my order to come in. I picked up my order today. When I took it out of the box, I could see how poor the quality was. The product that you sent with me today is in no way usable from a safety perspective as there were cracks almost all the way through 4 of the 5 steps. I do not understand how something like this could even get out of your store.

I have to replace my back steps again due to rot so I looked for high grade stringers to do the job. I will also be using composite for the treads so in order to span the 6ft width, I needed seven. Composite requires no more than a 12 inch span. I was not happy that these were not available in any stores near me so I could pick out the best ones. I didn't want any with cracks, needed to make sure they were identically cut, etc. I expected to have to return and reorder at least one or two out of the bunch. Well, they were just delivered via UPS and I am pleasantly surprised! They all look freshly cut, no cracks and best of all, the are all perfectly cut and matching. I couldn't have picked out a better set of 7 myself! My only request is that Home Depot starts carrying these high grade pressure treated stringers in their stores. It makes for a quicker turnaround and the ability to see what you're getting before you buy.

I gave it a 4 star only because of when they arrived 2 of the 3 piece were warped and I had to make adjustments. They were still moist but worked out for the Job that I had.

The two 5=step stringers were of identical dimensions. However, they were not exactly the same dimensions as a previous stringer I had purchased.to serve as the center stringer set between two original stringers. Thus I had to do some cutting to make all three match - not perfectly, but close enough that the steps are safe and secure. My complaint is the lack of standardization between old and new versions of the same product.

Very poor steps. Quality was horrible. They showed up WARPED as could be.

4 stringers, and looks like 2 different production batches. There was a 1/2” different rise height on 2 of them for the first step. Needed to cut on site. Plus, the run is 1” less than the previous st of stringers for a different stairway built about 3 years ago.

Bought three stringers for one set of stairs. All three were cut different. They were not off a lot but enough that I had to rip three of the five risers to get them to fit right.

The stair stringers were excellent quality with no cracks in the wood and the run and risers were cut the same on the three that I bought. They were shipped to me so I did not see them before I bought them.

Bad lumber some parts cracked off. Had to drill pilot holes to prevent splitting.
