The flashlights (I bought two) are great. Much brighter than the incandescent and should last for decades. The one complaint I have about them is the cheesy rubber cover over the switch. It is a thin piece of rubber that pops off when you turn the light on and off. The rest of the light is the usual rugged maglite quality. I was very disappointed with the thin cover. I am sure this light is not water resistant due to the flimsy switch cover.

This is a great flashlight, very sturdy and very bright, I would recommend this item to anyone who is looking to buy a flashlight, and I love the camo on mine !!!!

At first I purchased the non led model and it was real dim, then I searched and saw the led distance and life and thought I would give it a try. saw it for a great low price online it was a bright flashlight and I use it every night on my dogs walk very happy with it.

good flashlight as always from a Maglite. Only complaint is batteries were dead but put in fresh ones and it fired right up so not to much to complain about.

Found the LED Mag Lite on-line. Good Price. Works well.

I love these so much I ordered 7 of them. They make great emergency lights and they hold up extremely well for car use.

The week after my purchase we had a power outage. One of these flashlights can light up an entire room. I will gradually replace all of my flashlights with these. They arrived quickly and safely packaged.

When you need light, you can count on this Flashlight! Mag-lite is the best, and it is adjustable! Makes a great gift too!

Purchased considering it a long-term investment (as far as flashlights are concerned). It worked, sort of, for one season. The light had difficulty staying on and had to screw and unscrew quite a few times to get it working. After the first season, used the batteries in something else. Next camping season, put the batteries in the light and it sometimes lit up while screwing in the cap. Now nothing. Cost to get it fixed is about US$30 (shipping + return shipping). They cannot fix this type of flashlight in any mag-lite repair shop other than the California one. No spare parts. Unfortunately, I am now soured on the mag-lite brand as anything you purchase from them, regardless of price, appears to be a throwaway (cheaper to buy new than to fix), and does not appear, in this case, to be a product with staying power. Tried new batteries: Old batteries still fully power my other, not as bright, much cheaper flashlight. Tried resetting the spring several times

This flashlight has great range. It works well with partially charged batteries and doesn't dim or flicker. Well-built Maglite quality product.

Maglites are great. Durable, dependable and multifunctional. They are heavy but they can take much abuse. also LEDs do not break like filament bulbs. Great for cars and homes maybe not backpacking.

Maglites are great. This LED vedrsion provides a crisp pure light which, in conjunction with the LED bulb, will provide light for quite a long time compared to conventional bulbs. One test' with 'D' NiMH 1500mAh rechargeables, provided me with over 48 hours of bright light continuously.

The order arrived as expected, except it was poorly packaged. The items in the order where undamaged only because they are well made. The flashlight is very bright and well made.

Maglite flashlights are a very well made product. I have 4 that I bought on a Black Friday sale. I was so impressed with them, that I bought 2 more on line to give as gifts.

I was a little hesitant to buy the MagLite 3D because of the relatively low lumen level for this large of a flashlight. Maglite.com says the 3-cell D puts out 131 lumens which isn't spectacular compared to other state of the art LED flashlights (but will still make you see stars if you look right at it!). But what I LOVE is the range of this flashlight (364 meters per FL1 standard)! That's the best thrown I've seen out of a $30 flashlight (excluding 12 volt spotlights). And the rating is pretty accurate. This thing puts light out there! It has a very narrow beam when focused down. I can easily see into fields 200 yards with this light. [Side note - I compared this light to my Dad's 'tactical' flashlight (non-MagLite brand) that is rated at 200 lumens. His light is a little brighter within about 10 feet, but beyond that this 3D Mag blows its out of the water (due to the excellent focusing ability). His light doesn't have as good of optics so much of the light scatters.] The 79 hour battery rating is awesome. I haven't used it enough to know how true the battery rating is. But if I got 40 hours I'd be happy! Another great thing is this is still a typical heavy duty MagLite. It's very well constructed and feels very solid. This light will handle a lot of abuse. The only thing MagLite could do to make me happier is put a brighter LED in it (which would of course reduce the battery life but I'm willing to make that trade). A 200+ lumen LED in this flashlight would be amazing! However, I would still be happy paying $50 for this flashlight as is. I just got a couple after Thanksgiving for half price (that includes Energizer "D" batteries)! That's a steal.

Awesome flashlight, rugged aluminum body, shock and water resistant. The LED bulb produces a very bright light. The adjustable beam focus is a great feature. The battery last a long time, I have been using my flashlight for one year without having to replace batteries. If you are looking for a good flashlight, don’t look any further.

I purchased this as a gift for my husband at Christmas as he had been talking about this flashlight for some time. He is absolutely thrilled with it and will come home from work and turn it on just to use it. He loves it!!!! He has not indicated that there is anything that he does not like about it.

The new led maglite is most reliable and the led brightness is worth the extra cost!
