One corner got bumped when installing door and the cheap edge material flakes like cardboard or a flaky biscuit and no good way to repair. Door sides are extremely rough, showing some kind of particle board construction. The surface material looks pretty when carefully painted. We bought the primed model and put 1 additional coat of primer + 2 coats of finish paint on all sides and edges. It takes lots of time with the panels and curved surfaces. Won't buy again due to fragile edges.

While the skin is thin MDF, the internal structure is something far less. They call it composite, it's closer to pressed cardboard. Within one day after installation the lower corner where the pin goes, failed(see photo) under it's own weight. I peeled back the skin slightly, removed the cardboard, replaced it with real wood. Even if you paint it, cardboard will fail. Expect better from Jeld-Wen. Beware this is true for all of the versions of this door. use wood for the frame!

These doors are good for what they are. Which is a composite door with an interior frame made from inexpensive wood for support. They paint well and they work fine. I purchased a set a couple years ago from HD for half of what they want now. Now when I want to do another room I find that the price has more than doubled. These doors are not worth $400+ dollars they are asking for them, and I'm not going to pay $800+ (need two doors) to finish a closet with composite doors.

Easy to install. But they come with details because the manipulation like scrap, tape glue, etc. Overall the door are good.

Doors are nice however they don’t stay shut. I think there is something wrong with hinges in between panels

Door is perfect for my newly renovated closet. The 6-panel doors match the door to the room. It slides easily, and looks very classy. I had a handyman install it, so can't comment on ease of installation, but it fit the space as expected with clearance for the rug.

I waited 6 weeks and when they came they were not pre-drilled. At least that's what I thought at first. I didn't think to measure them, I have a dowel jig so I drilled the holes and painted them. When I went to hang them they were way short. So, I measured. 29.5 x 76 7/8. Not 30 x 78 now I think they just plain cut them wrong and cut off the pre-drilled holes. Not the quality control I would expect. 7 weeks down the road out $243.63, my time and paint. Nope not again!

This door would be fine if it is the correct size. However, I purchased it specifically because it was "trimmable". I trimmed slightly less than the recommended maximum amount off the bottom (and yes, I measured correctly, which I confirmed with the pieces I trimmed off). I installed the door, and I thought all was well until it collapsed the second time I opened it. As you can see from the picture, when you trim that much off, it rests the entire weight of the door on less than an eighth of an inch of fiberboard, which it simply cannot take. I don't know if I got a manufacturer's error or they were maliciously misleading in their description.

The doors were beautiful and fairly easy to install. My only small complaint was the placement of the knobs. (Purely from an aesthetic view).

This door is made out of really poor quality material. I’ve had three of them damage in less than 6 months. Don’t waste your money. Buy something else that will last you a long time.

Turned out very nice. I didn't have any problems painting and installing it looks much better than the flat panel doors i had before. The one small issue i had was that the panel doors were not perfectly flat so when closed they wouldn't match up precisely but it's hardly noticable. I would buy again great deal.

Worked like advertised and was easy to install.

Purchased 4 of these identical doors at the same Home Depot for a new closet project. Installation was pretty straight forward until we hung the doors side-by-side. There is a clear manufacturing defect where the recessed panels were not in spec. Two of the doors had the panel 4" from the top, on the other two, they were 3" from the top (see photo). How can this happen? Poor quality control? Inconsistent manufacturing? Had to get the project done, so I did not have time to uninstall and bring back to store. Do not buy if you prefer your closets to be symmetrical.

The door was easy to paint because it was pre-primed and already hinged. Painted it with two coats on all sides, installed the track and hung the door very easily. Attractive and meets our requirements very well.

They look great in my kids room.

The doors look nice but they require 3 coats of paint over the primer and they are easily damaged.

Nice door for the money easy to install. I would recommend that Jeld Wen place an additional support between panel where the handle is placed, this could be a potential weak spot.

The door looks nice. It was easy to install. When I installed the top roller the top board broke loose and slid down inside the shell. It was not worth an 80 mile round trip to get another door. A little glue and an hour for it to get and it was better than new. Still a good deal for the price.

We ended up purchasing four pairs of these when we remodeled. They have worked very well over the last year. They were easy to install and have held up to daily use. They are on the light side but the advantage of that is they do not need any support on the floor. They are basic but they work and we’ve been happy with them.

Homedepot is a very nice place overall. But, some of their products simply do not work out. The reason for this is unbelievable poor quality sometimes and I must admit it is infrequent. These closet doors are poorly manufactured. They have a great difficulty aligning properly even with multiple purchase attempts. I found that even the dimensions specified were off enough to demand product replacement. To think that you can go to this store and simply purchase and install successfully is incorrect. I had a good carpenter assist me in my efforts and he agreed with my poor quality assessment of these doors. He had a lot of experience with this product thus he would know. I was going to purchase sixteen of these doors in my house upgrade efforts. Thank god I did not. I have learned to "look before you leap" when it comes to Homedepot. Purchase them at your own risk!!

The bi-fold closet doors were easy to install and look great with a coat of paint on them. They glide open very easily and make a nice wide opening so you're able to see clearly into the closet. Good value for the price.

I ordered 2 of these doors in feb when i started a BIG remodel and just installed them last weekend..the model and sku and packaging was exactly the same. However the hardware was a little different on each door and it made them hang differently, which we didn't realize that was going to happen until we had them up. Anyway emailed customer service no response just chatted with customer service who told me that I had to take both doors down take them to my local store get a refund and than reorder the doors. They could easily send me another door and I would keep the one it matches and return the other.....but NO....that make's to much sense. How would I know that I wouldn't get two different doors again....seems like a lot of work on my part to end up in the same spot......SOOOOOO I guess I will take down these doors and return them and get a refund and go ELSEWHERE to buy my doors!
