I bought this stair nose based on reviews for the TM Saratoga Hickory laminate flooring (model 34089). I needed to cover my entire staircase and the top step to my basement. The day I received the stair nose I opened one up and compared to the flooring--it's the exact print and color. I will admit I was hesitant to install given it just clicks into a track that's screwed to the floor, but it's held up for 4 weeks now without so much as popping out of the track. It does feel a bit un-sturdy when you first walk on it, but I've tried teetering on the edge and it hasn't come loose. It's a shame they don't sell more matching pieces for this flooring because I had to stain some t-molding and corner trim to complete the job, but they matched beautifully so I can't complain too much (Jacobean & Gunstock stain with a satin finish, FYI). The only tricky part was an exposed corner on the next step up from our landing (see picture) where I had to butt the edges up. From start to finish it took me one day to complete my entire staircase and landing. I'm an avid DIYer, but this is my first time tackling laminate on a staircase. The only con I can think of is the instructions, a sticker adhered to the laminate top, were terrible. I Googled an installation video to ensure I had an accurate understanding of the process.

This is a well made piece of laminate. The color is consistent throughout and this brand holds up well, from past use of this brand's quarter round, transitions and other trim. I like the pattern and it matches my floor, perfectly. The only reservation I have is the price point.

Good color match for Pergo XP Coffee Handscraped Hickory. It is important to note that you really only get one shot at snapping the nose into the metal mounting bracket. If you attempt to remove it you will likely break the backing in the track as I did.

It does not accommodate 12mm thick laminate it is intended for. I had to build up my risers to make it fit. A lot of extra work. If you try to undo it from it's 'U' channel to reposition, it brakes and becomes virtually unusable. Very soft material for hardwood use.

We had purchased the Saratoga Hickory flooring from Hampton Bay and someone from the reviews suggested this trim to match and it was PERFECT. We did two rooms and plan on doing two more. We love these products!
