I wanted to update my kitchen with paintable bead board wallpaper. during my search, I found this product because the color tint would blend with my oak cabinets. it would be easier to use this wallpaper than trying to find a color shade to use on paintable wallpaper. I lightly sanded, cleaned up with water and finished with alcohol wipe down. after a few hours, I later prepped the walls and wood areas with roman wallpaper primer. the next day and a few days later, I wallpapered. I did not water spray the backside of the wallpaper for application as instructed. I rolled paper with print inside and adhesive outside and inserted into tepid water for 15-30 seconds. I then unrolled paper and bookmarked its patterned edges for 2-3 minutes. application and trim cuts with sharp blades were not that difficult. soffit, backsplash, kitchen island counter wall, and raised cabinet panels were wallpapered. ceiling light changed and soffit moulding trim added. the outcome produced amended oak cabinets in my kitchen. I wanted to keep a rustic look instead of painting the cabinetry white or cream at this time. take a look at the before and after photos of this completed project, and draw your own conclusions.
