I purchased two pair in 2011. Liked them so much I bought four pair in 2012. The other day I looked at my pile of denim blue jeans and laughed - they just can't measure up to the comfort and practical wearability of the Riggs Work Wear. I am going to buy another four pair soon.

All I wear for work.
Keep cool in the summer,. Roomy enough for thermals in the winter. Not sure if I will ever buy jeans again. Love these pants.

Been buying this pant for years - LOVE THEM!
Absolutely love these carpenter pants. Material is durable, yet breathes well. Perfect set of pockets and loops to hold my cell phone, tape measure, and hammer. Fit allows for easy movement and flexibility. I keep buying these things - it is literally what I wear 6 out of 7 days a week. Highly recommend.

Best Utilitarian Pantalones Ever!
These and the Ranger pants rule! A 5.5" screen phone fits perfect in the side pocket. They are loose enough to do karate in, strong, and I wear them to work as a software engineer and they look great with a nice sweater for meetings and whatnot. I have three pairs and am here looking for black, but that color isn't sold here!? :( I would wear only these and Ranger-style for the rest of my life.

What about southpaws?
I love all of my Wrangler jeans and really looked forward to buying a few pairs of these, primarily for the leather pocket protector since this is where most of my jeans tear up first. Once l paid attention i realized that these are made only for right handers. I keep my knives and tape measures in my left pocket so the feature that i was so excited about is completely useless to me. Will Wrangler ever offer a lefty version? Such a small detail turned me off on these.

Left Leg Pocket Dimensions
This photo shows the Left Leg Pocket, and dimensions. If you allow for the fact that anything you put in it will NOT be perfectly thin or flat, you have a pocket of about 3 x 5 inches. An iPhone 6s Plus will NOT fit in this pocket.

Comfortable, Durable and Good Looking
These have a nice, loose - but not sloppy - fit; if you measure your waist accurately. The fabric is as tough as denim, but not as thick & heavy. (If you get 'em wet they dry faster too.) The cut and finish on these make them the perfect choice when you have to meet a customer or go to the bank. You look like the foreman, not a grunt. ;^)

What happened?
So Wrangler changed my 'Go to work pants'. The old version had the belt loops in the perfect spot to keep my holstered tool where I need them. Now two back loops are removed! My tools slide around to my back where they get very uncomfortable in the truck seat and on equipment. With the two loops missing the pants hang like a potato sack on my belt. The fabric seems to be lighter weight. These pants seemed to shrink much more than the last ten pair I have worn (Ranger and Carpenter Riggs). The side pocket I keep my phone is is slightly smaller, especially after washing, to the point my phone will not fit all the way in the pocket. I requested an email inquiry from Wangler when I bought the last two pair of Riggs Carpenter pants, no reply. Last pairs I guess, I'll have to spend a little more on some Duluth Trading carpenters that fit great, last longer and have the right size pockets. Too bad Wangler, It was a good run but quality and function is everything.....

Sizes are not consistent
Have been buying this style of pants for ten years now. Never had any problems until now. Have been buying the same size for the same amount of time as well. Just ordered new pants for the year and gotbthe same size I always get and they are way to tight now. Makes no sense to me unless wrangler decided to have another foreign country start making them and there sizes are different then US sizes. So now I have to mail back at my expense and order bigger ones and wait once again for new ones

Poor value for price
The crotch area was worn thru in six to eight months on two pair of Carpenter Relaxed Fit Riggs Workwear Jeans. I would classify the use as moderate. I have had $20 workjeans last two or years under severe use. These were over $30 and did not even last one year. I like the color and the pockets. But, in my opinion these pants are way overpriced for the value.

Side/Utility Pocket has shrunk
Great pants - a bit tight but made me realize I needed to drop a few pounds! The utility pocket has shrunk and I can't get my cell into it also moved to the left. The overlay pocket has been removed. The Bark color is really a light olive green not brown at all. But still a great color. Heavy weight material, a bit stiff but comfy since I dropped 6 pounds. Love the leather accent and the cordura back pockets really dress them up.

Did not hold up for one small job
I had to lay a new vinyl floor 11' X 13' in a basement over concrete, so I was on my knees for a bit. To my surprise when I finished there was a large hole in the left knee, and I was upset about it. These pants were only worn about 3 times because they were so big and loose. I purchased these because I had 2 pair that lasted me almost 5 years. They really must have cheapened the material. They are not worth the money that they command for these.

Durable pants for all occasions
Bought two pairs a year ago from Tractor Supply when I ripped my Wolverine pants during a farm trade show. I hate spending over $30 on any kind of pants, but I was in need of quality, quickly. Bought the Riggs because they were a better price and fabric than the Carhartts next to them. Love the generous fit, deep pockets, good looks, and color choices. I wear them daily to work and sometimes to church. Very versatile pants and easy to keep clean. Highly recommend.

Not everybody is big!
I have worn Wrangler Carpenter pants and jeans for 10 years working in the trades. I order 2 -3 pars at a time and downgrade the shabbier ones for dirtier jobs. It has gotten more and more difficult over the years to get them in my size (29 X 32) and now it appears impossible. I may have to find a new favorite in a different brand. Too bad because I LOVE these jeans.

Been buying these as my standard work pant for years!
Love these pants from Wrangler. This is about my 14 pair purchased through the years. The pants are extremely well made and provide a comfortable fit in all the right spots. They hold my hammer in the loop and tape measure on the reinforced front pocket. There is also a spot for my cell phone on the left leg. Love these pants!
