Living near the ocean in the NW the air is very corosive. Our door bell stopped working and the door bell wiring is over 20 years old and under the house. My husband had his knee replaced so not easy to be crawling under the house to replace wiring. This wireless battery operated door chime was the perfect fix. We place the batteries in the chime and doorbell button... attached the button to the exterior of the house and the chime in the entry area and pushed the doorbell button and the westminster chime was very nice and a much easier fix then crawling under the house and less costly than hiring someone to do the rewiring.
