Won't recommend
I bought this lat year in July and in few months (probably after 90 days) it stopped connecting through wifi. So I had to connect the camera through my wired internet cable. It used to send me motion detection alerts, but when ever during motion detection it captures image or video, the file on cloud is always corrupt. So you cannot see because of what there is motion.. no use of motion detection. And now, FOSCAM even removed free motion detection/scheduling. So you need to pay for this camera for getting alert for motion detection. I will never recommend any product from FOSCAM with company changing policy like this.

    Didn't work
Foscam FI9826P did not work out of the box. Something wrong with it's WiFi--it won't connect. This is the 2nd camera of the same model that I purchased. The other one is sort-of working. Foscam apps are really bad and don't function as promised. Their cloud service is only a 30 day free trial. After that, the app crashed on my tablet (could have been from an auto-update) and I had to start from scratch. I gave up on it for a couple weeks and then re-tried and the app finally installed. It worked only intermittantly before--having trouble with sound, not being able to do full-screen when turning the tablet sideways, and locking up. The new app (looks all different) has no sound (it should), a grainy, jumpy video, and the controls often won't function, panning is now jumpy and also causes loss of picture quality. Don't click on help as there is no way back to video without shutting off the device. These are supposed to be Plug & Play. 1st one did self install after I downloaded the app., the 2nd one never did. After manually listing the camera in the app, the "device did not connect". Both cameras have the same model #, but don't even look the same. The newer one has a flush cover over the LEDs, on the older the LEDs protrude. Zoom occurs in steps, not smooth. Major delay in response to any control--when it decides to work at all. I am also trying the Owlr app and at least I get very faint sound--maybe if I put a smoke detector right next to it I might possibly hear it--if paying attention. At least it works more often than Foscam Viewer and between the 2 I can still use it somewhat.

    Cheaper Elsewhere
I really love this camera and tha app that allows you to view while away from home, as well as have a two way conversation. However I bought two cameras at the same or slightly less price than what Home Depot charges for one camera on Groupon.

      Not worth the $ imho!
I got to admit I was excited to receive this camera and didn't mind the price with the description that was provided but I was let down. First the camera is bigger than I thought. Kind of bulky. The set up was easy though which is a plus. If I would've known that the infra-red lights glow red I wouldn't of purchased it but since this info was not provided in the tech specs and no one mentions it anywhere I'm glad I get to do so myself. The app was kind of cheap in my opinion. I guess it does its job but for the price I paid I expected a little more. I've had other cameras that were far less expensive and came with awesome apps. Apps make the difference now a days haha! The video quality is nice and the movement of the camera is smooth the zoom I was not impressed with. Overall I wouldn't recommend this product, not for this price! It's cheaper at the manufacturer page but I made the purchase with my Home Depot card.
