Just what my puppy needs to tell me she is at the door.

The wire is easily pulled out of the mat. If you have grandkids, large pets or a lot of foot traffic the odds are the wire will come lose from the solder. Until the poor design is fixed I wouldn’t purchase another. Fix.Tie a knot in the wire leaving more slack, knot to solder than knot to seam.

I only had it like 2 weeks and it stopped working

Good product idea, poor execution and materials. The wire snapped when cold/frozen and run outside.

As noted in other reviews I read prior to purchase: The there is no volume level control. The door bell chime setting is so loud, I had to wrap it in foam, then put into a tub with more foam on the 'speaker' side just to tolerate it in my house (not to wake up sleeping people). The sensitivity is excellent for small dogs, though I had to change the door mat to a thinner one because the one mat I had was dissipating the weight of a 18 pound dog. The bare pressure mat is quite sensetive, but the material is thin and could tear easily if not covered.

The device worked as needed. He used it as a touch-less doorbell during Halloween.

Purchased only for the floor mat. May use other part for something else later.

Do NOT put outside during the winter especially if it snows heavily on your doorstep unless you have a canopy.

The alarm mat would not work. Home Depot referred me to the supplier and they will not return my calls for a replacement. I will hesitate to purchase on line from Home Depot again.

I bought this after my "Canadian" garden was stolen from last fall. This year I added a chain link enclosure and one of these pads inside it, set to alarm and buried under a bit of mulch to hide it. If anyone had entered my garden, the alarm that would go off is quite loud, certainly enough to wake me. The good news? A successful harvest this fall! I'm sure this mat is just the thing for door alerts when set to chime but the alarm function is a real bonus and highly recommended for backyard gardeners who want to protect their crop.

This alarm is working out great for me - my cat has figured it out and sits on mat waiting to come in!

Due to some reviews that questioned the durability of wired connection to the mat, I added duct tape to the opening just in case. The "chime" is every bit as loud as the alarm I wish it could be a bit gentler, but at least it doesn't repeat like the alarm does. So far it's operating as expected. As long as the outdoor entrance mat is heavy enough to stay in place thru wind & rain, it should last a long time. A light weight mat over it is just asking for trouble.

So happy I ordered these alert mats! Packages had been taken or broken into front & back doors. NOW I clearly know if someone has approached my apartment! Thank you for speedy delivery because another theft happened just the day before the mats arrived.

It works great I love it

Used for a home automation system to turn on and off the lights in my shop. Not as heavy duty as the grocery store door opener, but you can’t beat the price.

The mat works good and is loud

Works well for its intended purpose. Our dog is a rescue and had his vocal cords cut before we got him, so he doesn't bark to be let in. We had to come up with a solution for cold weather when we couldn't forget he was outside. We put the mat under the welcome mat just outside our door, so when he's done and comes to sit by the door, the doorbell goes off. It works like a charm! There is a thin wire that goes under the door so that the mat can be outside while the doorbell and battery are inside. We are hoping that this means the mat will not stop working when it hits -40 here in the winter. I gave 4 stars because it seems like the mat doesn't go off sometimes. But its not a huge problem, because Rolo has figured out how to walk around on the mat if we don't come immediately so that the doorbell goes off again and again and again. The little bugger. 4/5 stars, would recommend to a friend.

My dad has dementia and is prone to wandering. I put the mat in front of his bed at night to alert me if he gets up. It has given me great peace of mind. I would highly recommend it.

I bought this for my parents. My Dad has dementia and tends to wander out of the suite in the middle of the night. We put it by the front door with a mat over it, and it works perfectly. My Mom is able to get up and guide him back to bed.

I put it inside my house by my door where my dog sits when it’s time to go. Before I couldn’t tell it was time only if I would pass by my door. Now I’m aware and no more accidents. We all can hear from every room. Best

It works perfectly for what I needed it to do.... I am so glad that I found it... The weight of a small dog under 10 pounds activates it … which is what I was looking for. Doris
