Doorbell works well and is fairly loud. The cover is a bit more plastic looking than I expected, however. It is not bad, though, and looks good in the entry hall.

This item was described as having a WOODEN cover which would have looked nice with my crown moulding. It arrived and is a hunk of cheap white plastic with a purple hue. Awful product, totally cheap looking and not at all as described, very disappointing. Total waste of time. I think Home Depot has now changed the description so at least other people will not be misled.
