I have only set up the unit, but was unable to use it as the fan blades hit the filter and will be returning the unit to HD. As far as humidifiers go it is a very stylish and I am very pleased to see a USA made filter in it. I hope others have more success than I did as there are many nice features. A second problem I had was that the float rod missed being inserted into the chassis/power pack. A plastic clip holds it in one direction, but does not prevent the rod from moving in the other direction. A third problem was that I could not get the top of the unit to fit correctly onto the bottom of the unit. This might be being caused by the bottom cabinet's straight edge not being straight. There appears to a 1/4" drift in this straight edge. On the positive side the humidity level was accurately displayed when the unit was first set up. The tank appears easy to clean, reasonably priced and it is stylish for a humidifier.

The water level float became disconnected during shipping and caused the unit to not function at all. Upon reconnecting the float arm the unit functioned as expected and has been for the past month.

I ordered this online after much research and reviewing of other items and options Firstly_ This thing is super loud, even at its lowest setting. On the lowest setting the sound is very grating, it's horrible. Not pleasant at all. B_The electronic controls ceased to work the first day. Lastly_It does put out a lot of humidity. So if you want to spend a hundred dollars on an item that will break the first day after the promise of moisture in the air then this unit is for you.
