When we started our remodel, the only think I knew for certain is I wanted it a little rustic and I HAD to have a farm sink! After a ton of research, I bought this model from Home Depot, who offered the best price by far. The sink is gorgeous. I read it was going to be a hassle to clean, but I'm really not finding that. I did buy a sink grid (Vigo Model#VGG2514 26x14.375") to keep it protected and it fits perfectly and does a great job. I started by polishing it every night, but now just clean with warm soapy water at night and use a product called Perfect Sink once or twice a week to give it a good shine. When I was deciding on a dual or single bowl, I was worried about not having a separate bowl for cleaning my veggies and defrosting meats. I have a plastic container I keep under the sink for this purpose and it works out great! I just set it in the sink when I need it & still have a huge portion of the sink to use while it's in there! My 2nd big concern was that I had to have the fluted sink. However, once the cabinet base was in and we could set the sink in, I started thinking about how much easier the smooth side would be to keep clean, and the busy the fluted side would be with a busy granite (very veiny) counter top. Ultimately, I ended up showing the smooth surface. At this point I'm not going to go see how much I may have saved going with the same type sink without it being reversible, but do make sure you think of all that before you buy! All in all, I LOVE LOVE LOVE this sink and would recommend, and buy again! It may be a tad more time to keep it beautiful every day, but not so much that it's a deal breaker. Oh, and it fits my 26 pound pup for bath time, which is a big plus since he had 2 paws out on the last sink!! ;-)

The sides were cracked in

After having this sitting in the garage, waiting to be installed in our remodeled kitchen, it was wonderful to finally have it installed. It went in with no problems, along with the garbage disposal and the faucets. I was able to wash the first load of dishes last night in it, and it is roomier than I expected. We want to get something to protect the bottom, but it isn't absolutely necessary. It adds a great touch to the kitchen. Very glad we bought it.

We are still in the building process now, but the sink itself looks great! There were no uneven areas or any type damage that I could find. I'm pretty sure I'm going to love it when our kitchen is completed!
