The other new one stopped cooling after 2 days and all my frozen foods defrosted. I was able to replace it with this Whirlpool. It arrived quickly and has all the features I like. I am so glad I got this one.

Have had for almost a week a refrigerator is keeping things cold and runs quite. We have the Black model WRT311FZDB05. Want to add the ice maker, what model number of ice maker is the correct model number for WRT311FZDB05 refrigerator; W11517113 or W11510803.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased for brand and because the item was on sale. So far (about 6 weeks in service) it works fine. However, some design features puzzle me: Why is there no light in the freezer compartment? I have a small flashlight on the refrigerator now since the frozen food is not auto luminescent. The upper storage drawer appears to have been less for utility than for cuteness. The drawer is shallow, much shallower than my previous Whirlpool of the same overall size. Additionally, the front 2 inches of the drawer flare out 1.5 inches on each side...the front of the drawer is 3 inches wider than the rest of the drawer. So, the drawer capacity is reduced by the 3" width, 3.5" depth, and 14" length. That is 147 cubic inches, or just over one cubic foot of storage space that is lost within the drawer. Because the front of the drawer flares out to each side, the drawer cannot be moved (it slides from side to side under the top shelf) all the way to the inside wall of the refrigerator. So that storage space is lost within the refrigerator; and it is inconvenient to place anything near the drawer on the non-wall side. That means either having to reach around the flared front of the drawer, or pulling the drawer out to get to items on the shelf beside it. Unable to attach the photo taken of the drawer. I am disappointed in the reduced functionality of the refrigerator, and disappointed in Whirlpool because of that reduced functionality.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The 28yr old fridge I inherited when I bought condo gave out a week before surgery. My friend recommended this one. I love it because there is SO MUCH ROOM! The old fridge had those adjustable shelves did not give you as much space or convenience to place items. But the 2 main shelves in this fridge go from FRONT TO BACK - leaving me with so much space I would never fill it in normal weekly shopping. The side door does have the adjustable compartments which are fine. The freezer space is also very large. It runs quietly. I could not be happier with this purchase for anyone who wants a basic fridge/freezer without all the bells and whistles.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not only is the product only fair, with many flaws, your review process is a piece of junk when uploading photos it froze up my phone and now starting all over. Freezer door is the problem...seal not attached in at least 6 places, seal not on straight, paint chipped off of the two outside corners of the door, and a long run in the finish on the front of the freezer door.

It stopped cooling & I was able to get the same refrigerator the next day where as a repair company couldn't look at it for 3 days. So we purchased a new one. It is roomy and we liked it enough to buy another one.

Never worked properly. The refrigerator compartment is too warm (room temp) and the freezer accumulates frost. After over a month of dealing with repair appointments, the only solution that anyone can offer me is they are ordering a new door which will take at least 2 months. I have requested to return or exchange it but everyone says "NO". In the meantime, If I don't purchase a new refrigerator, my tenants will be without a refrigerator for over 3 months.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve grown to like this refrigerator. At first it bugged me not to have a freezer light. It kinda still does. You need to add an optional light kit to purchase. Also, the freezer seems to be too large or maybe raise the height of the whole refrigerator so you don’t have to bend over so much to see into the refrigerator area. Other than these items I’m good with it.

Compressor went out at 18 months. Called whirlpool and they agreed to pay for the repair. After countless hours on the phone with whirlpool and Sloan Appliance Repair, 6 trips to my house, they replaced compressor, temp control panel and fixed a leak.They paid for it. 2 months later and it is doing the same exact thing it did before.It is running and making a whooshing noise constantly.Called whirlpool back and they said there was absolutely nothing they could do at this point.The whirlpool website says that their refrigerators have a 5 year warranty on all sealed system issues.When mentioned, the CSR said that THIS fridge does not qualify.There are no exceptions on the site saying which fridges do not qualify for the sealed system warranty. WHIRLPOOL DOES NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCT OR WARRANTY.

I was worried about being able to have the same amount of room for all my food and freezer items and to my delight actually seemed better for a smaller unit!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Replaced an 12 year old Whirlpool with a new one. There are a few minor defects on the black exterior, not noticeable to company, but as the one who looks at it all the time I can see them. There is also something on the plastic inside the door. It looks like spray foam insulation that got smeared on the inside and not cleaned up. It's a permanent part of the door now. It's not cute. And the refrigerator makes the tiniest little noise when the condenser is running. Like ball bearings spinning or something. I've only had the fridge for a week. So, needless to say, the cosmetic issues are no biggie, but the noise gives me pause. It's not loud enough to be "concerning" but it is loud enough that I'm not full of hope that thus refrigerator will last 10+ years like my last Whirlpool did.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I hate to give a product I just bought an average rating but it is because it has NO freezer light (I missed that as I was focusing on dimensions) and the temperature controls are bare bones weird. To adjust the temperature you tell the compressor how hard to work by setting one of four cooling levels and then select air flow between the freezer and the refrigerator compartments. Our first attempt started freezing the vegetable bin. Dimensions for new refrigerators are tricky-they are either too tall or too wide. Our old one was 19 cu ft that fit our space so I opted for one that is too wide and 19.5 cu ft. Getting the door to close is a trade-off between opening the door to its stop or putting a big tilt on it otherwise a 33" wide door will not close without assistance. I am trying a battery operated light in the freezer compartment (sticky tape with magnet mounting). A work in progress. We switched from freezer below to a freezer above after 12 years, We feel the lighting in the refrigerator and the layout of the shelves are very good for seeing everything. BTW, you have to buy an ice cube maker from a supply house - Whirlpool does not sell them on their website.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This review is for the WRT311FZDB02 model. I needed a shorter refrigerator due to cabinet placement and this one fit at just under a height of 66 inches. The refrigerator works great. Low noise when compressor runs, I have read a lot of reviews of ppl complaining about the high pitched buzzing or whining, thankfully this one does not do that. Temperatures are kept evenly with the two control methods, just requires a little finessing and patience. Set the overall temp with refrigerator control and adjust freezer temp with the air flow control. Then wait several hours to see the effect. There's a lot of internal room for the dimensions of the fridge and the shelves are spaced reasonably. My only complaint is with the vegetable crispers. The drawers do not fully close and therefore defeats the purpose of having humidity slide controls. There is a half inch gap. The wheels of the drawers can't go beyond the tracks to fully close them.

We got a deal on this refrigerator as a 'scratch and dent,' but it's what we wanted and whatever we purchased had to fit in the kitchen space we have. It's very roomy and suits our needs. We like that you can slide the 'cold cut' drawer to the left and right and that the bins on the door are adjustable. One thing we don't like is the plastic veggie bins on the bottom. This isn't just Whirlpool but every frig we've had uses plastic. One of bins 'sticks' when pulling it out and we can't see anything wrong. That's the reason for 4 stars only. I may put a drop of a lubricant on the wheels to see if that helps. The other thing we can't figure out is why no light in the freezer :) Our DRYER has a light in it. LOL.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We’ve used this new fridge for over a month now, and it has been a revelation. Compared to our old side-by-side it has been simple to use, set & maintained temperatures, and has all the space we need.

I read all of the one star reviews that said the freezer wouldn't keep their food cold. I figured this had thousands of reviews and only a few 100 people were saying this so they must be unlucky. well, 2 weeks in and I've noticed freezer doesn't freeze. I Noticed my ice cream was melted even though it is set to coldest setting. I then put ice in the freezer to test it and the ice melted. Whirlpool said they will send a tech but I just want to send this piece of crap back

Also, the seal on the refrigerator door is not as tight as I am use to--When I open the door, I always wonder if it was actually closed all the way or not.
