Even when finally fully assembled, it was not as sturdy as I was hoping for but seems like it will be OK. Very heavy for its appearance, maybe its the 50 lb weights at the bottom and it still needs ties at the top to prevent tipping over.

Thanks to my local Home Depot team for making the pickup of this item as quick and pleasant as possible. Their staff people were friendly and efficient, and helped beyond the front door to get my product safely on its way home with me. Now for a warning: this desk comes in a box that weighs 170 lbs and contains over 300 individual parts. If you're not deeply experienced in putting these things together, by all means hire a professional to do it for you! But given this warning, I will add that the instructions are very well written with clear and precise diagrams showing each step of assembly. I especially appreciated that there was an extra of most of the hardware pieces; i.e. if the assembly called for 16 short widgets, you will find the bag of short widgets contains 17 pieces. Very thoughtful! The desk itself is superb. Once I had it assembled - it took me almost six hours and I am very experienced - it looked and felt like a fine piece of furniture. Granted, it's made of particle board like any other furniture kit you're going to find, and the cherry veneer is very thin and easily damaged. But everything fits together perfectly, the drawers and doors operate smoothly, it has the look and feel of real furniture. I looked at over 300 desks before I settled on this one. I don't regret my purchase for one instant.
