The bench and shelf are in my front entry "mud room" for outdoor shoes and outdoor coats. I am having trouble removing the stickers. I had no problem with assembly. I did need simple tools: a screwdriver. It will soon have a more 'lived in look.

This was a gift for my son and daughter-in-law. Looks great in their entry. Shipped free to our local store.

Easy to assemble and definitely sturdy..

It would’ve been perfect as the bench/storage I wanted. Unfortunately, once I got it in person the color was too dark compared to the site picture. I’m sad it didn’t work out!

The first one we received had a cracked back. The second one we received had boards that were not straight, but wavy. We knew that it would not take sitting on it for very long before it broke. This is not a good product so we sent both of them back.

Great product, horrible directions!

As another reviewer pointed out — the image in this ecommerce catalog is misleading. The picture shows a darker color. I think the term “Espresso” captures the product’s actual color, but the color in the image is lighter. It’s a good product, but was disappointed in the color.

This is a Red/brown color. The pictures are deceiving and should not be called espresso. I had to return.

No quality at all. Fell apart while being assembled. Discontinue this product and mfg! I returned it

It's really a nice piece of furniture, my issues with it were the directions left 2-3 entire steps out to assemble. Also, they have "front" and "up" tags on several pieces that aren't correct and very misleading. Overall, unless you can put furniture together with minimal directions....I'd buy something else.

terrible instructions. poorly made. dowels did not fit(way too loose).definately not worth the money spent.

I have this product in the dark cherry color. I am a spa owner, and I've placed this bench in the room with our infrared sauna for our clients. I've removed the bench pad (It just sits on the bench, it's not attached) and replaced it with towels so they can be washed after people sit on it. However, it works great, it stores extra towels to restock after each client is done in the sauna, and it allows for clients to take extra towels if they want them. It's sturdy, it looks nice, it was easy to assemble, it's a good size for at least one person of pretty much any size (without getting into the absurd). I'm very happy with the purchase.

I have been looking for an 'entry piece' for the front door area for quite some time. I was considering having one built to my specifications when I finally saw this bench (and accompanying coat rack / wall shelf) on my favorite "orange" site, Home Depot. It arrived in a short period of time and was in excellent condition. The instructions were easy to follow and the assembly, through relatively involved, went well. It is of good quality, strong, sturdy, and heavy. I especially like that the seat cushion is removable as I have three cats who I know are going to be sitting on, and possibly scratching, the cushion. I plan of having a seat cover (or two) made for it so I can remove and wash it periodically. The color blends well with the rest of the décor in the area. Next up, finding baskets for the three cubbies under the bench.

The stickers that numbers each piece were impossible to get off. Had to use goo-gone on each sticker. Spent more time getting the numbered stickers of then assembling the bench There was one pre glued and nailed piece to the bench that was glued and nailed incorrectly, which resulted in me having to use a longer screw then what came with bench Overall, the bench works perfect for the space in my house. Just a few flaws with assembly

The item description stated that this bench was solid wood and it is particle board. I ended up returning it .

The storage bench was easy to put together. Is a welcome addition to the area near the front door. Now we have a place to sit, remove, and store our shoes.

My husband had a difficult time putting this together. The directions are confusing as others have also mentioned. However, we are happy with it and it fits well next to our front door..

I love this bench. It's well made, and a perfect size for our townhouse (i.e. not too big). My children were always dropping their backpacks right by the front door which made our house look very cluttered. Now they put them in the cubbies. My high schooler has a lot of big binders in her backpack, so it's a little harder to fit it in the cubby, but it still works. The assembly instructions were so well written and all the parts clearly labeled, but it did take us about an hour to put it together, and I think you do need two people.

It was easy to assemble and we love it's use, looks great!

In Florida everyone who comes into your house is expected to take off their shoes. Now I have the perfect place for guests to sit while they remove their shoes or put them back on. And there is a place to store them so that my entry stays neat. Love the look and the quality. Thanks.

This storage bench is a great value but it will take you forever to put together. The instructions are horrible, I had to take it apart twice to try to get it assembled. The cushion was slightly soiled as well but it came clean with some dish soap and water.

The bench arrived quickly. No damage. It is as described. I found it was helpful to look at the picture of the bench all put together to determine what the directions were telling me. One section was a little confusing. Otherwise went together easily and everything lines up great. We only needed screwdrivers to assemble. Very sturdy. Looks very nice in our entry. After reading reviews, I assumed I would need to immediately replace the cushion. I do not feel it warrants some of the criticism it received. It's not plush high quality, however it seems durable enough for its intended purpose. I have not added baskets yet, but have found several online that will fit. Super happy with this purchase.

I bought two expresso colored cubby benches for either side of our front door entrance way. They just fit perfectly! I love them. I went to a craft shop and bought some like-colored baskets for shoes and storage for each cubby opening; six in all. My husband followed all of the other reviewers suggestions and the directions that came with them, for putting it together, and found it to be very easy. Just be prepared to be putting in a lot of screws.

It was fairly easy to assemble. Is pressed wood supposed to be considered a solid wool? Screws did seem to take hold well. Time will tell. Once done, looked nice.
