Please test this product before you use it. With California’s EPA regulations, this new water base formula isn’t any good. Doesn’t stick very well, even when using a vacuum table to help with applying pressure. You can still grab a edge and pull it apart. The buyers for Home Depot should pull this product off the shelve.

Does not work for formica applications. I purchased it because the site said "customers also bought". Well, one gallon later and it still didnt want to stick...

I was skeptical after reading all the bad reviews on this product. I had purchased the original red can product. I got really frightened by the original product talking about the fumes, not being around the location for 24 hours and possibly shutting off gas supply. So then I found this. Very low fumes and I felt safer using it. I kind of liked that it didn’t have an immediate bond because it gave me some play. I rolled it and even though it was sticking fine, took my hairdryer to it to ensure the bond was solid. Was using indoors in about 76 degree temps. Low humidity. Dont be scared away by negative reviews!

Use this for cardboard sculpting!

A different product needed to be used because it did not adhere as it should have.

Man oh man dis glue is some good stuff I glued the cats tail back on my kids bike tire and the counter top I am so happy it came really fast and was in perfect condition you guys rock thanks man !!!

Followed directions to the letter. Temperature never below 65. Have built countertops for years without any issues. This stuff won’t even begin to stick to itself. Save yourself time and effort. Buy the “real” contact cement, not what the enviro enthusiasts “encourage”. Over half of all users can’t be all wrong!

Make sure it is totally dry before sticking pieces together or you could have problems

It did not work for gluing 3x8 ft cork sheet to wall. Although I applied three coats in both cork and wall! I had to buy the solvent one (red label) to make it work!

This product absolutely useless

This product is a bit different to use than regular contact cement. The drying time is longer and sometimes it can be difficult to tell if it is ready to use. The can states it should be tacky to the touch. Sometimes it was and sometimes it did not feel tacky. I used weights to hold material that I wanted to bond together. It works great! Repaired my pop up camper top with it. Removed the rotten wood and bonded new wood to foam insulation. That is why I tried this product. You have to follow instructions on the can or it doesn't work as well. Follow instructions and it works as well as regular cement without having to vent you work area. I will use again for other projects now that I have figured it out. And it cleans up with water. BONUS. Use a junk brush and roller. Couldn't get all the glue residue from them.

I have used this product in the past with great success. I am particularly happy about the fact that it is water based and the cleanup is easy. The bond created (if used properly) is as good as any solvent based contact adhesive I have ever used. Highly recommended.

Used to put on lament counter top and work great

For laminate this product doesn't work it all!!!!!!!!!!

Bought a 1gal can of the water based contact adhesive, green can, from HD. The edges all curled up. This type does not hold. Not HD fault. Use the stinky red can, but use outdoors. The solvent is extremely strong. Call DAP and ask for your money back if using the green can.

I followed the directions exactly, but it only stuck in a few spots. If you're thinking about buying this, save yourself some time and throw your money in the trash.

I purchased this because it is non-flamable and low odor to install formica on the kitchen counter top. I did not want to turn off the furnace pilot light, open windows, use exhaust fans in the middle of winter and need a respirator i don't have to use the solvent based (red can) cement. I followed the instructions and the installation went perfect. I read reviews about the laminent not sticking well and to use a heat gun, bought one just in case but did'nt need it.

I went over existing formica that i heavily sanded and put 2 coats on both surfaces. Was happy with results. Also no smell or fumes.

I was not very happy with this product it Dried quicker in some areas than others even though I applied the same amount to the whole piece I had some areas that did not stay and were loose I do not want to ever use this again

Works great - though it does have a slight odor - its nothing compaired to the oil based variety. Additionally - a little goes a long way. I could have accomplished my countertop project with less than a quart.

We bought this product to re-glue some laminate countertop that had come loose after 25 years. We scraped the old particle board substrate and the back of the laminate first then used this product according to label directions. It was never tacky enough to stick despite two coats and using pressure to adhere. I have ordered Original Contact Cement and will try to do it with that over this junk. Not sure how that is going to work. Very disappointing product.

I chose to use this product because of all the warnings associated with Weldwoos regular adhesive. A large percentage of the reviews for this product were very negative and said the products just dosen't work. I decided to try it anyway and had excellent results. Very pleased with it.

Really depends on the application. Directions state to NOT use this to bind non-porous surfaces (which would be laminate). In my case, using it on a concrete surface, it worked excellent. It's also very low odor, which is a welcome change from the brutal fumes of the weldwood red can.

Despite being advertised as low-odor and made for bonding laminate, it didn't work and I had to peel it off both surfaces and used Weldwood's Original contact cement. Wouldn't advise purchasing this product.

This product is garbage. I followed the exact directions and timing several times over on different paneling pieces to glue to my kitchen cabinets, but no stick whatsoever. So, I bought a 2nd can thinking I'd gotten a bad batch. Same result. Doesn't stick together at all. Absolute junk. I don't recommend it. You're throwing your money away. A total waste.
