I like the grill’s folding table and its ease of maintaining a steady temperature. Unfortunately the grill lid and the movable vent cover and ash sweeper aren’t made to fit as tightly as my old 22” grill. Therefore When I finish grilling, the vent covers and lid let in too much air and the coals don’t go out quickly. I have to wait a long time before I can store the grill.

Sometimes the grate catches on the nuts that hold the lid holder in place. Otherwise I love it.

The screws holding the grill lid holder are too long. They interfere with installation and removal of the cooking grate. The weight of the cooking grate makes it awkward to remove and replace with one hand.

The new grill performs just as guaranteed. I have cooked pork chops and chicken on the grill and both came out perfect. I used a semi indirect method by placing the charcoal around the perimeter at the bottom and putting the meat in the middle. The pork chops were approximately 1 inch thick and it took about 15 minutes to get them to the degree of done this we desired.

I originally learned to grill on a brick backyard BBQ in the 60s. Then my dad bought a Weber Kettle. It changed my life. This is my 4th Kettle grill in the last 40 years. I bought my first in 1985. My son has it now (yes, it’s still in service). The second was for my mother in law because she wanted me to grill foods for her when we visited. The third was an update to my first grill because of the one-touch lower vents. This (the 4th) was an update because of the fabulous ash basket (and my son will get the one-touch). This grill does it all and the gourmet grill accessories are an exciting option. Direct, indirect, “snake” charcoal for low & slow cooking…every possible cooking method. There’s nothing this grill can’t do—beginner or expert, it’s the go-to outdoor cooker. I specifically chose this model because 1. the ash basket vs. the ash dish of the previous models, and 2. I have a charcoal storage container already and the compact size is exactly what I need (the drop-down shelf is perfect).

I purchased this grill in May. There was something wrong with the legs as the bottom shelf keeps falling out. The Weber service department was outstanding as they continued to replace parts until the issue was 100 % addressed. This grill was a replacement for a 25 year old Weber, I expect this one to last as long or outlast the last one. I recommend Weber they are simply the best.

For the past several years, I've been cooking with gas. I decided to go back to charcoal and since I was a former Weber user, I shopped for a new one. I am impressed with the quality and ease of assembly of the Weber Performer grill. The unit is sturdy and offers the side table that my previous Webers didn't have. It's cooking performance does not disappoint. In addition, it adds the charcoal flavor I've been missing.

I've used this model for over 6 years. I was originally concerned that a fixed charcoal and grill location would limit temperature control, but the air vents allow for super easy control. You can get it as hot or keep it as cool as you want. I added a "Slow N Sear" for smoking ribs and butts and this made indirect cooking a breeze. The cart with lockable wheels is a critical part for me as I move my grill on the patio whenever I cook. It works great.

Great grill, only improvement I would recommend is to install a port for thermocouple leads.

Great grill. I have always enjoyed the quality of Weber grills. I love the attached "table" and the lid holy.

Assembly was straightforward. I did have a problem with one of the wheel casters but Weber replaced it right away. Great grill!

I am very pleased with my grill as I have been with the many Weber products over the years. I have one problem, however. When assembling the grill I had a lot of difficulty with the basket at the bottom which catches the ashes. I used a lot of force to get it into place. The result is that it operates, but it is very difficult and time consuming to squeeze the handle with enough force to remove the basket and dispose of the ashes.

The charcoal weber grill is great, in fact it is my 3rd one. The cart with fold down end rusts very easily, along with the casters. Only lasted about 2 years. It sat under a canopy outside and was always covered.

It is a good barbecue. But the rack that attaches to the bottom of the legs just does not meet what I would call, Weber standards. Does not fit well so it does not stay in place. Cannot use it for anything.

You're asking for this way too soon after purchase for me to have a complete opinion . I've given it a 4 star because I have only used it twice so far. I will say that it was easy to assemble and it looks good. My first meals turned out well so I'm optimistic about it overall.

Great grill. Wish the grate did not have the removable center though.

Nice unit using the classic webber grill. My only complaint is that the wire tray at the bottom of the cart tends to shake loose when you roll the thing around.

The first step to assembling this unit is to install the castor wheels. Putting them into the supplied pockets did not connect positively. Once they pop into place gravity is enough for them to fall out. The very act of flipping the cart over as I assembled the unit caused the wheels to fall out on several occasions. Once assembled, If you choose to pick the BBQ up to carry it the wheels WILL fall off. In addition to this, do not assume that this grill comes with the baskets that hold the coals because it does not.

It’s a very good grill and we have been using it a lot. The only issues I have are the gray at the bottom that is for storing stuff does not fit very well and keeps falling out whenever we roll. The grill and the centerpiece for the grill top part where you put the food does not lock in well, so sometimes if you’re cleaning it, it will pop out. Also, for such a simple grill, the price is a little high.

The fold down table and the fold down bar were both badly bent. Fortunately, I was able to straighten them out. In addition, the bottom rack is too short, so it doesn’t fit between the legs and is not useable. And the assembly guide sucks.

Best grill, love it. Weber brand stands above the rest.

I have owned three Weber Grills over the last thirty-five years. They are built to last. True quality!

Luv it also have 18” Smoky Mountain luv them both ,, probably never go block to gas
