I’ve had a BGE and Primo ceramic smokers and the Weber Performer ranks right up there with them. Easy to regulate the temps for low and slow, or hot and fast. Big plus is it weighs just a fraction of those ceramic cookers for easy moving around the patio/deck. Did I mention that the cost is a mere fraction of the ceramic cookers. You want extra smoke it’s really easy to add whatever wood you want. Just all around easy to cook with. I’ve done a pork butt, salmon, chicken, and ribs, and all have come out with fantastic quality. I could have saved a lot of money if I had bought this 5 years ago.

as expected! I have owned several Weber grills in the past so I expected perfection and that is what I received. I am converting back to charcoal from gas because I like the flavor characteristics and flexibility of charcoal.

Great grill. Easy to assemble. Should last forever.

Weber designs a great product - very functional and the basic charcoal Weber grill is the "Original" grill imitated by many competitors. However, quality continues to suffer as offshore manufactures (China) choices allow for poor alignment and cheap materials. Teh Weber Kettle is NOT what it used to be and is very flimsy.

What can I say it's a Weber kettle my last Weber Performer is still grilling after 20 years. Replaced grills and grates. We used it three or more times a week year around it stayed out doors in seattle's rain.

I received my new grill and the tabs that held the grate were uneven which caused all kinds of wobble while grilling. Weber came through and sent a new tub. After reassembling the new tub, everything is great. I have had many Weber grills; always my grill of choice. I really like the foot print of this one.

As a charcoal grill lover, this grill met all my needs to replace an older grill we donated before we moved. I now can try some of the cooking technics from the BBQ Pit Boys.

I've owned Weber grills for 40 years. My original kettle grill served me well for most of those years. The feature I never liked was the tray for the ashes. Always a pain to put back on the legs after it was emptied. Flash forward to my Weber Performer grill. I've owned it for over a year and it's the dependable Weber, but... The ash disposable system is as big of a pain as the old grill. Re-attaching the ash container is just as big of a pain, maybe even more, as the old style grill. Time to go back to the drawing board.

The materials used in the construction of the grill are high quality, which explains the higher price. However, I find it a bit inconvenient to use. Having the lid be something you can completely lift off is a bit dangerous and inconvenient as you have to be careful when laying it on its side. I’d much rather prefer a traditional-style lid that you can only lift and lower. I didn’t notice much difference in quality or flavor to my old cheap grill.

I have had Weber grills on the past and have always been satisfied with them. I recently upgraded to the Performer series and could be happier. I normally grill ribeyes and really like the high heat output you get with any Weber model. I have been learning to smoke pork and chicken using the snake method for the charcoal. Got to work on my patience, but my results have been good. The Performer was an investment but the bells and whistles are worth it.

The Weber charcoal is the only way to go. Enjoy the smoky flavor.

The center grate keeps falling out each time I lift the main grate out to get the charcoal started.

This is my second Performer; the first lasted 15 years, so I knew what to expect. By and large I was not disappointed, barring a few niggling items: (1) The bottom mount for the lid support is nearly impossible to tighten completely as the square key on the bolt is too short to reach entirely through the bowl. (2) Either the hubcaps are not deep enough or the wheel attachment push-on nuts are too tall, making it impossible to attach the hubcaps. (3) The starter chimney is a dead loss, being too short and lacking a bail. Other than that, it's a winner and a keeper.

Excellent grill. Love it! I think the price is to high but that's the case with everything.

This BBQ is more than expected! Love all of the features, especially the ability to conttol the temperature without all of the ash falling all over the place. Foods tastes soo much better overall.

This smallest footprint 22" Weber Grill and Table Cart makes grilling in a small area easy. The Grill itself, with the convenient grill top holder makes it easy to access the cooking area to season and turn food. The small table provides a stable area for condiments and plates for food removal. The tool holder and cart rails make hanging grill tools easy.

I am a big fan of this grill. It is so versatile. I can smoke indirect, or grill hot and fast. Temp control is so easy with this grill.
