They were labeled 1/2 in but when I tried to use them they were to small.

Great product can be reused

Would not fit on a 1/2 PVC the opening is more situated to a 3/8

Used this to couple two pieces of 1/2 OD vinyl tubing that were the output of a condensation pump. There were no instructions on the package so I just pushed the pieces of tubing into each end as hard as I could. When I turned on the pump, part of the coupling popped out a little and water just poured out of one end. I then tried to remove the tubing from the coupling but it was really locked in place. I finally had to cut the tubing. That told me that the vinyl was firmly attached to the coupling and the failure was in the coupling itself. I replaced this with a brass barbed coupling which worked great. Definitely do not recommend this coupling.

The 1/2" fitting is for the 3/8 PEX pipe that actually measures about 1/2". Knowing this makes life simple.

An examination of the item and it's package description at the store indicates that is for 1/2" O.D. tubing. 1/2" pex will not even fit in this coupling. Since most plumbing is rated by I.D., not O.D., I'm assuming this is for Watts flexible vinyl tubing. I would not recommend this for 1/2" pex.
