GOOD PRODUCT, BUT...
THIS REALLY IS A GREAT PRODUCT AND SAVES A LOT OF TIME AND MONEY. FITS PERFECTLY, LOOKS FANTASTIC, BUT THEY REALLY NEED TO INCLUDE A GASKET TO GO UNDER THE FINISH PLATE WHEN YOU INSTALL IT USING THE SCREW IN ADAPTER. I ORDERED TWO AND THEY BOTH LEAKED BECAUSE THE STAINLESS STEEL FINISH PLATE DOES NOT SEAL AGAINST THE METAL DRAIN. THE INSTRUCTIONS SAY YOU CAN INSTALL IT WITH SEALER BUT THEN IF YOU HAVE TO CLEAN THE DRAIN OR POUR IN DRAIN CLEANER IT CAN'T BE EASILY REMOVED. I MADE MY OWN OUT OF 3/32" TEFLON ROPE SOLD FOR REPACKING VALVES BY FORMING IT INTO AN O RING AND INSTALLING IT UNDER THE PLATE. BOTH WORK PERFECTLY NOW AND OTHER THEN THAT I AM TOTALLY HAPPY WITH THIS PRODUCT.

Nice looking, but neither of the adapters fit our walk-in tub's drain. Had to just adhere it over the existing drain strainer. Works well. Main problem was the packaging. Trying to cut the plastic packaging, ended up slicing the pack of silicone sealant. Fortunately I had a tube handy.

The Grid strainer keeps foreign objects out of the drain. Regular removal of hair is required. The brass pin adapters make the Universal NuFit simple to remove as the pin threads into existing bath drain cross threads. If the cross bars are broken, then silicone could be applied.

What a piece of $30.00 trash! Used for 6 showers times and clogged up with soap scum and cannot...
What a piece of $30.00 trash! Used for 6 showers times and clogged up with soap scum and cannot remove the dome assemble to clean. To clean it it would need to be un-glued and then re-glued each time. Unbelievable. Do not buy this item, so very disappointing. When removed it is going straight into the garbage can.

When the "grid strainer" version of the Universal NuFit is installed, all that needs to be done to clean out hair and other foreign objects is to clean out below the stopper regularly. The stopper is manufactured to pivot so you can get your hands underneath to clean out. If there happened to be a clog inside the drain, the overflow clean out is actually the standard way to snake the drain. The brass pin adapters that came in this kit will provide the way to easily remove the Universal NuFit as the silicone application is commonly used when cross bars that have threads are broken inside the drain and the brass pin adapters cannot be used.

works great.
Used this to replaced the function of a trip lever. Exact fit for the existing drain cover. Step on and release solidly. No leaking. Did not use the sealant or the larger adapter.

Great product.
This product installs easily, and can be installed on any fitting. It is a very good product for a DIY person like myself. You can't go wrong with this, and the customer service at the Home Depot is unrivaled.
