Don't buy these if you are expecting to use them to make something nice. First, the quality of the cuts and rough sanding was sub standard. I fully expected to have to sand these to get the finish I want, but now I'm going to have to do more work to get all 4 legs to look the same. At first I was going to return them, but decided to fix them myself. I lined them up on my assembly table and that's when I noticed that the top of one of the legs was about 1/4 inch smaller than the other 3. These legs are manufactured in China. While China has the ability to produce decent products, this isn't one of them. I have returned them to the store and I will look elsewhere to find these legs.

The following is just my opinion based on my experience with four of these legs: I made my wife a new maple table for our anniversary, but since I don't have a lathe to turn legs I ordered these. They are only available in pine, not maple but since that part of the table was going to be painted, I decided it would be okay. They took about a week and a half to arrive and were not packed well. All four were bundled tightly with cellophane wrap but were mailed in an over-sized box with no padding whatsoever. They were free to fly around in the box and apparently did with some minor chips and dings that I repaired. Despite the "butcher block" name the legs are not turned from solid pine, but from (in my case) 3 to 5 boards glued together. This would be okay, but several were already starting to separate along the glue seam. I filled in with some wood glue and hoped for the best. The table is finished now and looks beautiful (imho). I am not worried about the solid maple top or the solid maple skirt, but I am somewhat concerned about the longevity of the pine legs over the years and whether humidity and temperature changes will again cause them to start to separate.

This butcher block top could not be used in a kitchen it was full of bad spots filled in with wood putty and if I was going to use it in a kitchen I would send it back but I used it to make a craft table. The leg was fine but not the top

Beautiful quality! My husband built a laundry folding table for me and used two of these. Very solid and beautifully turned legs.

This chunky, beefy looking leg is just right for the statement that I want with the big dining table I'm making. Other table legs, while probably sturdy enough, would have looked spindly and weak by comparison. I had seen other butcher block type legs before, but at 36", they were too long.

The legs were used to replace legs that were lost in a move on a large office corner desk

I ordered the 29" {standard} pine butcher block leg after purchasing the 36" pine butcher block leg by mistake. I wish Home Depot would carry this size in stores as it is the standard size for a dining room table. Ultimately, the butcher block style was just what we were looking for to finish our DIY barn door table. It turned out beautifully!

These wooden legs were exactly as advertised. No surprises. Pre-sanded, ready to use. Only "Con" would be the price, but I couldn't find them cheaper anywhere else.

Legs shipped on time, and arrived in good condition. We used them to build a kitchen table, it came out great! Good quality wood.

I was very pleased with the purchase..although two legs were of different wood, much heavier. Used them also it was a Christmas present and didn't have time to return them. I stained them and looks great!
