The picture advertising this product is deceptive and as there was no description on the site I obtained it from, I assumed it would be like the photo. I was wrong. Basically this is an empty Venetian blind holder without the blinds, just the thin nylon strings.. The photo shows what looks like a cover at the bottom and hooks holding it. There is only the headrail. There are no hooks nor the bottom portion. The instructions state it needs to be installed into a structural support beam and comes with 2-3 inch screws and 2 washers and instructions on how to tie a "simple knot" when you do get the hooks, light , etc. It is also only recommended for use with remote ballast fixtures. Now that it is installed, I need to go to the Viagrow site and purchase the proper light fixtures, bulbs and hooks to use it. It would have been much better to have a complete description of the Lighthanger. I gave it an average rating in quality as it is, as I previously said, a sturdy venetian blind holder.
although this product is intended for use with remote ballast fixtures and fluorescent t5 lights only. i am using it with an enclosed ballast and reflector system. which is 25 pounds. (5 pounds below the maximum weight limit)
since this light system is heavy, i am forced to use one hand to hold and lift the light system. while the other hand pulls the light hanger cords to adjust the height.
although not as strong as chain setups, this product makes adjusting the height of your lights much easier.
