Used this to finish off the top stair where bamboo plank flooring ends at the staircase going down. It is a different brand than the flooring, which was also purchased at Home Depot, but it was all I could find. The profile does not meet up with the flooring, so we had to cut off the thin lip to make it work. The piece is not solid bamboo–I think it is oak, and it has a brittle bamboo veneer on it that begins to peel off when you cut it. We screwed it down for safety reasons in addition to gluing. Overall, it looks nice, and it will do.

The staircase nose moulding was precisely correct. It was not warped and fit exactly like it should.

I ordered a total of 9 stair noses and some of them were not straight and did not lay flush against the bamboo flooring. As such, there is a slight height difference between transition from the nose to the hardwood. For some of the others that weren't fully straight, I had to use putty filler to minimize the appearance of gaps. Not sure why they were constructed so poorly but it took a lot of effort in trying to minimize these defects.
