My fan started to make aweful noise, though it was bearings. Took it down to investigate found pin gone and fan barely hanging on. Would have caused death or horrible injuries. This fan weights over 50 lbs, terrible it will end up killing someone.

Really only works with one style of hanging bracket. I’m retrofitting an old house and it just would not work.

BE WARNED: This kit can only be used if the electrical box to which the fan attaches is mounted directly to the underside of a ceiling rafter (or equivalent). The bracket in the kit attaches with a single lag bolt, through the middle of the electrical box, into a rafter. It cannot be used if the electrical box is mounted BETWEEN rafters.

Seemed like a strong material that would do the job... upon reading further instructions, turns out I didnt need this part to install the fan on an angled ceiling.

Pretty expensive for this item, but it worked perfectly. I had to engineer an inventive way for the screws to reach anything to tap into. My box had no receiving mount holes for this, so I had to add layers of wood in it and use 3.5" wood screw to reach it. It all worked out in the end.

The lag bolt that holds the unit to the ceiling is located dead center of the ceiling bracket--exactly where the electrical wires come through. Only way to mount it is to remove a large section of sheet rock, and relocate the ceiling bracket---not something I want to do to a new house. Looking for a different mount.

This is not a bronze finish,the description says pewter and despite what the representative said...it is a pewter color.

The Hunter vaulted ceiling mount is a total waste of time and money. Aside from being extremely poor quality, how do you replace a 6" diameter canopy with a 4 1/2" canopy? You get the picture. Save your money. Buy a Hampton Bay ceiling fan/light instead.

the only thing with this product was the mount and it was the only thing needed and worked perfect and looks great!
