Don’t waste your time ordering from Home Depot online! There service is terrible and you will not get it on the “expected” date. If you do get it on time, it will be broken. Home Depot Deals with too many 3rd parties when it comes to stuff like this. Stick to plants, wood, and purchases in the store.

It's solid enough but not heavy wood furniture that would cost $1000, and the vinyl covering (or whatever it is) isn't as thick as car seats, but it seems durable enough. I've had mine about a month now, and with a decent mattress, it's a nice bed, no wobble and high enough to make sitting and standing quite easy for an old man. Unlike most reviews I've read, this bed is for me, not guests. Putting it together was easy enough. Only issue son and I had was the long backing not aligning properly (4 screws, 1 didn't align, off by almost an inch), so its probably best to do backing first that isn't adjustable, then do the bed frame that has adjustable bracket slots for screws. Leave loose and don't do slats until everything is fit together nicely. You'll need twice the width of the bed for working area unless trundle is done first (without slats in place so you can step in the space). Slats will not hold your weight if stepped on, they're meant only for mattress. Since this is for me an trundle not really needed, I'll probably put a 1/4 sheet of plywood over trundle slats and use it for storage. The trundle is not attached to bed (no slide guides of any kind), so if bed is put in middle of room, trundle which is on small wheels (bed not on wheels so must be made in place when washing linens, a lot of leaning and stretching to reach corners if against wall), can easily roll out of front or back side. Took us a little over 2 hours to assemble. It takes a lot of pillows (and old couch cushions that this bed replaced) to be able to sit up comfortably against bed siding, for me anyway (spinal stenosis, sciatica) and still working on that solution, but bed backing solid enough but I wouldn't press the issue by leaning on them directly with full weight. Extra pillows help fill space between mattress and frame too. Unlike normal bed frame, this bed keeps mattress in place on all four sides (nice). I purchased on sale, maybe 20% off mfr price, and considering what else I saw shopping (all online, didn't find anything in furniture stores that had 3 sidewalls), I'm satisfied with it for the money. It'll last if not abused. Boxsprings not recommend (would make bed too tall and won't fit in trundle) and not needed over slats spaced at 3" apart or so, but don't scrimp on mattress.
