The skylight is a great addition. The remote works well. However, I'm not sure that the rain sensor works. The reason we bought this model rather then a standard crank-open skylight was the rain sensor as a backup in case I forgot to close the skylight and a storm came through. But, I've left the skylight open purposely during rain and it has not closed--even though it has started to get wet inside.

The blinds installed very easily. To get the wall mounted remote to work with it required a call to Velux. They walked me thru the installation in about 15 minutes. While the support was great, the instructions were completely useless. The blinds are also pricey (not Home Depot's fault) but there is a tax credit of 30% on the blinds the softens the cost somewhat
