Easy install, but not too keen on getting a GU24 base instead of the screw-on E medium base. Description was lacking during purchase. Had to buy an adapter, which did not cost much or change the depth, so it all worked out. You will need some wiring experience and some extra things like a junction box to terminate your connection.

Takes a special light bulb, but boy is it ever nice and bright,

Fits well, a little cumbersome to install, an extra set of hands was helpful, and the two pin LED GU24 lamp (purchased separately) had a great feature of being able to vary the color by sliding a switch. Warm white, cool white and daylight

New design compared to last one I installed and not quite as easy to install but still an easy project. Was a good supplement light for a small bathroom for evening/night when the tube isn’t supplying anything but the occasional moon light. No hesitation to use again if ever needed. Love the tube lights BTW. 3 hour solo project start to finish.

Easy to install, works as promised, make sure you get the correct bulb for it ( not included).

Is a good ridgit product in the new design for the 010 it come with only one fix ridgit arm no fixable at all in case your tubular skylight it is going in an angle , you might have little trouble installing it. But after installing it works fine.

Works perfect. Most of installation was in the attic. Newer model than picture, but easier to install.Fixture does not block sunlight during the day.

This is a light kit and the light bulb is not included. No instructions or description of the actual light bulb or instructions of how to add the light bulb. No statement on where to get the light bulb as none of this is in store.

Ordered the light kit online and it said it would take a week to get, I left a request to text me when it arrived at the home depot near me 3 days later I get a text message that it ready for pick up now thats fast service installed real easy by myself and now I have light at night in my hall way.

The installation instructions are fairly vague, but if you have worked on other DIY projects, you can figure it out. The instructions show drilling a hole through the tube with a spade bit. Don't do it! It will tear the metal very badly! Instead, use a correct-size hole saw.

Works great! Using dimmable LED... Finding a GU24 bulb looked like it was going to be a problem until I checked Canadian Tire.

The cable and connection are well build and sturdy. The wire posts are ok, but I would like another set that was lower/shorter. I would like a different lamp to bulb connection. It comes with a CFL post mount I would like a screw in LED.

My flex tunnel had a severe bend in it and the light barely fit--I'm banking on the light not getting too hot but I'll update if it does. The instructions don't explain how to fasten the legs to the base of the tunnel, but it can be figured out (hint: what are those 3 screws for? what are those holes for?). The extra tape comes in handy for rips, try to save some for emergencies. The tricky thing for a DIYer like myself is wiring--if you're confident enough to do that safely, the rest is not bad.

Love it. almost invisable during the day and lights up the room at night. I put a 800 lumens led in it. very happy with the light.

It is a non standard light socket with three wires to hold it in position and a length of conduit. A connection box is not provided. The instructions indicate a fluorescent light should be used but I'm using an led replacement.

Was a bit worried that this unit would be visible, through the light panel, during the day, but was pleasantly surprised to see that it is not. Since the light panel in the skylight is translucent, and since the skylight tube is highly reflective, the light kit insert ends up getting lost in the reflections. This is a great idea to maximize space. My only complaint is that the receptacle is not set-up for a standard screw-in bulb.

The appearance of having a sky tunnel with light kit is so great. It can be installed in the spot where the existing light is and uses the switch from the existing overhead light. What a great addition to the sky tunnels of yesteryear.

I replaced a ceiling light with a flexible tube sun tunnel (Velux TMF) so I was glad to see Velux offered a light option. Overall, the product is great but the install was a bit of a pain. For starters, you WILL need two people; one to be in the attic to hold the hardware in place, one to be below to screw on the nut. Secondly, the washers that come with the kit are a little too thick leaving little thread to screw on the nut; it took us several tries to get it on right. Additionally, if you have aggressive bends in your sun tunnel, just be aware that this thing needs a good amount of clearance to fit; I don't remember the exact height, but it was around 10-14". Lastly, I feel there should be better support for flexible tube installations as it really does a number on the mylar-like material the tunnel is made of; have a extra foil tape on hand for patching.

I purchased to provide light to a bathroom with no windows. The instructions are fairly easy to follow. I took my time as it was my first time putting one of these in. Love the light it provides to the room. I even purchased the light kit after I installed the tunnel and it had no effect on the natural light. Going to purchase another one for another bathroom.

Once the broken one was replaced, it works great! During the day, you would swear the light was on, and at night the light is more than adequate.
