It's expensive ($639.00 ) and I have a major complaint with the design. The brackets that are welded on the frame to mount the door to your exterior wall have a large gap all the way around the door frame to allow the lock set from hitting the glass slider door when installed. You can VERY EASY reach in and open this door. It's NOT secure at all the way it comes in the box. Watch the video and at the end when the they instal the lock bar you'll see the gap. My home is just like the one in the video. I had to build a wood frame of 2"x2" on the sides and 2"x4" on the top and bottom all the way around my frame to really secure it to keep someone from reaching in and unlocking the door. It took an 4 extra hours and $20 in wood and nuts and bolts. The lock bar really should have a metal plate welded on it the full length top to bottom, so you can't reach between it and the exterior wall to unlock the door. I've attach a photo of how I built the frame. Notice I used 2"x2" on both sides and secured with carriage bolts on the lock bar. I drilled holes through the mounting brackets to bolt those two boards together. Unique Home Designs, please take note and fix the issue.

Picked the security door up three days ago and hung it yesterday - no problems. After the door was up I noticed a gap all the way around of 1½ inches. I locked the door and my wife reached through the gap and unlocked the door. So much for "Security" There was at least one other review that mentioned this. One would think the factory would've addressed this issue and/or recommended a fix for this. Now there's NO security plus all the bugs and flies can come right in. Very poor design and probably from China.

Dear Valued Home Depot Customer,
To fit most standard sized patio sliding door, this door has a 3" projection mount to allow for no interference with the varying sliding glass door applications. For more security, a double cylinder can be installed, be sure to check local building codes before installing.

This door was extremely easy to install and set. The box is heavy as get-out so be sure there are two of you to install. Make sure you use double keyed deadbolt as this door sits away from the siding with tabs!
The only hitch was that I ordered White and Desert Sand was shipped. i

Beautiful Security!
Great security screen for a sliding glass door. It's a bit pricey, but worth it for the piece of mind of having extra security. In addition, it looks great!

Just what I needed
I needed a door to cover my patio door to stop break ins. This door is perfect. The only issue is if you do not want to have a deadbolt that uses a key on both sides you need to add something to the gap where the door handles are or someone can fit their hand in and open the door. This problem was resolved by screwing in a block of wood to eliminate the gap near the deadbolt. If you use a deadbolt with a key on both sides this will not be a problem, I just preferred not to use that type of deadbolt.

Expensive, but worth it
I had purchased 2 of the single su casa doors @ $89 each. Don't know who did the math.... but this is like 2 doors and was $645. Matches my other doors and looks great.... so worth it. I feel my home is much more secure and protected now that I have them installed.
