The door looks great! I was able to hang it myself using clamps. I found that you want to hang it just off center, more towards the hinge side. That way there is enough clearance for the locking mechanism.

We liked this door for its unique design and screen door like functionality. What the marketing materials do not tell you is that when it is hung on the outside of your common exterior door frame, there is a large gap on the bottom, which could allow any number of critters into your home, up to the size of a small kitten. If hung lower, the upper rail screws will not meet with the frame. To remove this gap, you will most likely need to remove your existing door threshold, add a pitch with floor leveling material, special order a 9" threshold, and add a spacer on the bottom of your front door so both doors can share one threshold. We used a 6" threshold, but had to extend our tile. The indoor locking lever on the door is manufactured too close to the door frame, so you cannot lock it unless you notch out a area on your wooden frame, which allows the handle to turn, but still smashes your fingers if turned in a traditional manner. The door handle mechanism is welded crooked. The door itself was warped so when hanging the frame, it had to be shimmed, which looks terrible and left about a 9" triangular gap on the lower left. We had to fill it with more shims, caulk and paint. Of course the screen mesh material rattles against the frame, but we bought self adhesive trim to avoid that. In addition, nats can still get through the mesh, so we bought fabric screen material to cut and fit between the mesh and the door. Bottom line, if the gap, the nats, the crooked lines and rattling don't bother you, the door looks nice. If you want a functioning screen door, be prepared to spend a couple days modifying your frame, threshold, possibly your tile and front door. By the way, we had a professional door company hang ours and we were still left to fill shim, caulk, paint, notch, add the pitch to the threshold, level, lay tile, cut door trim to re-lay the threshold, eliminate the rattle and add the bug screen. We still haven't decided if we will keep it, because the crooked handle area is distracting and the shimmed area is unattractive.

I purchased this door after having read the reviews, and sure enough it was not a tight fit at the top and bottom. I simply asked our installer to nail in a wood strip, inside the door sill to cover where the screws were showing and we glued an insulation strip at the bottom. The door is gorgeous.

I definitely recommend this door is secure beautiful and good price to invest to your home.

Great door for the price! Some reviewers complained about the lock and it is confusing but if you follow the directions, it works out. The lock turn is a little too close to the frame from the inside so could be designed better but overall, a great door.

Need special install tool, not included. Was delivered with paint rubbed off on top of door and a dent in edge of lock cylinder.

The look of the security door is great but the price of the door it should have came with better hardware the door handle was broken when I received my item it was hard to get hold of home unique designs to get new handle because homedepot doesn't carry there hardware so homedepot gave me the one on there display pain in the butt

This door is excellent. But the lock is a disaster.
