Beautiful and strong security door

The actual door is good quality, but the screens are cheap quality. Disappointed!!

First door had a center bow and had to be replaced. Replacement was perfect and I love the insect screen panels. Easy to install and very nice looking. Extremely happy with door.

Quick delivery service, durable, great looking security door, our installation person was great. Worth the money.

I discovered that this door has a big piece of paint that chipped off it on the side. Nothing has hit the door, it just broke a piece off about the size of a dollar bill and now there is an ugly spot where the dark unfinished metal is showing through. I am very disappointed in this and would not recommend this door. I will attempt to contact the manufacture to see if they will do any thing. I can't get the door replaced as it cost me $250 to have it installed and I will not pay to have the damaged one removed and new one installed (IF the manufacture even agrees to replace it). I wanted to put this warning out there for anyone considering purchasing this door. I have the almond coat finish.

Very go, especially love the screen which prevents insects coming. We can leave the door wide open in summer to have the fresh air and at the same time keep safe with security door in place

Kick plate for door latch and deadbolt plate were both too small for the holes in frame. Not way to use them.

I purchased this security door from Homedepot online. I was so excited to have a new security door.But,When finishing installing the door,I found the design of the door was not the purpose for the security because the door would be very easily to unlocked from outside of the door by breaking the insect screen with a finger, and unlock the door by reaching the lock easily from outside of the door.The purpose for the security door is to prevent someone from entering the house easily. Tried to contact the company support for exchange metal screen door, they asked to go to homedepot to order a metal one at additional cost.

I bought this because I love having the door open but have a big dog. the screen is not secured at all.

So mislead at Home Depot sales person. Black screen instead of white totally does not match my new porch at all. Very disappointed in it all. Scratches also on door. Ordered on line through Home Depot.

The door is study. I would like to have or had the out to purchase full windows for the winter. The screens are great for summer.

Excellent security door

When I buy a white door, I expect the screen frame to be white, too! It is ridiculous that the frame of the screen is black. This requires that I have to paint that screen white to match the white door!The door showed traces of rust at the welding seams when I unpacked it from the packaging

The door itself is a great door and easy to install. I had to special order it through my local Troutdale HD. Picking up a special order from this store was awful. After 4 employees and almost 45 minutes with the door only 15 feet away from where I was being helped and not found I finally walked back into the special order area found my door with my name written in sharpie in huge letters and loaded it onto a cart myself. Just an example as to why I don't shop box stores unless I have no choice. This in on par with other customer service experiences I've had with HD.

It is a strong, well made, security door; the second one to buy from home Depot.

As advertised. Sturdy door, easy install.

Missing parts

I got this door in June 2015. I didn't get it installed until September 2015 because I was waiting on HOA approval. Shortly after it was installed I noticed it was rusting! It has many spots that were not welded so water gets in the door and causes rusting. I called HomeDepot and they referred me to the company they ordered the door from. Home Depot wouldn't even talk to me about it. I called the company that builds these doors and they said it isn't guaranteed against rust. I'm stuck with an ugly rusted door that has only been on my house 8 months! Dont buy ths door!

I had an Arcada Max door that I would not accept due to bad quality, review on it posted on Arcada Max page. This Sylvan door I ordered is very nice, and seals tight. Here's the problem, the door is white, and the 3 frames that hold the bug screen in came in dark bronze. Not a match at all. Back to Home Depot I go yet again, armed with more pictures. Well, they don't tell you at the time of order that if you order the bug screen (charcoal color) that it will be framed in a bronze or black frame. How un-professional is that?? I figured if I ordered a white security door, everything would be white except the charcoal bug screen, therefore making a nice looking security door. The Home Depot associate called the manufacturer about it, and they confirmed 'that's the way they come'. Too hard to put the soft charcoal bug screen in a white frame to match the door color I guess. This all has been a very long and un-satisfying ordeal, starting with the Arcada Max. Home Depot should oust this manufacturer. Kudos to Home Depot customer service for their excellent customer service, but I give up on buying ANY security door from them again, as long as they use this manufacturer.

I need to purchase glass panels so the doors are functional year round. How can I buy a set.

This is NOT A SECURITY DOOR as posted but rather just a steel SCREEN DOOR! You also must drill all holes YOURSELF for all screws AND the SCREENS are NOT REMOVEABLE!! SYLVAN doesn't have this model on their website! Telling me,they've had problems with buyers before! DO NOT BUY THIS IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A SECURITY DOOR-But as a SCREEN DOOR-you could do better without all the work this model involves!

I love feeling secure about leaving our front door open and let the breeze blow through the house. The door looks great and is exactly what we were looking for. The only negative is that no bit/screwdriver was included in the installation kit for the tamper resistant bolts. Home Depot didn't carry the right size in store. We had to search around for and found an acceptable bit at a local tool & equipment store.

Overall, the door is built well and has a nice appearance. The tool for installing the one way screws did not come with it. The description says it is included. The self drilling screws for the screen installation were of very poor quality and package had less than half the amount needed. Fortunately, the missing tool and good quality screws were available at Home Depot for another $30.00 approximately.

Worked with my dad to do the install...took about 90 minutes. Did not come with a tool for the security bolts....

Excelent so happy and please with this product excelent price.
