I never was able to get the correct replacement, even though the numbers matched. I believe the manufacturer made some changes to the molded plastic, which apparently did not fit the Base Unit properly, even though they snapped in and appeared to be sealed. After they flooded my kitchen, I scrapped the Glacier Bay System, and built my own, much better system, using two 10" Pentek filter housings 158643, mounted on a 2 x 4 which I attached to the inside of the cabinet. A brass Nipple joins the two housings. One Pleated cartridge, and one Carbon Block cartridge make up the 2 stage system. It was simple to build, using the same in and out tubing that fed water to the Glacier Bay, and the dispenser faucet. I added the appropriate plastic fittings to attach the in and out. The filters are easy to obtain (even at Home Depot) because you can use any generic 10" filter. They don't clog nearly as quickly, cost much less, and the water flows and tastes much better. I did this 2 years ago, have replaced the filters twice, and there are no leaks. See the photo.

After installing them, the unit leaked terribly, and we could not use the system any longer. How to return is the ? Good morning

Had it a couple of months & it seems to work fine.

I replaced both filters and one was defective. It caused a bad leak under my kitchen sink. After no help from customer service, I hired a plumber to uninstall the entire filtration system.

They leaked and ruined my floor

The filters did not seal in the system they were made for. Leaked underneath my sink and started to ruin my kitchen floor… I’m returning them today

Replacement was easy. Water flow returned. Seems to be working well and water tastes clean.

In the past I’ve been very happy with the units, however my most recent filters leave a fishy smell in a glass of water. The unfiltered water doesn’t smell. It took 10’s of gallons of water before it didn’t smell and it comes back from time to time? Not sure if I should replace system with something else.

Unfortunately the filter leaked and water was all over the floor. This is the first time such a thing has happened.

The Glacier Bay filters are producing water that tastes far worse that that of the actual tap. We will unfortunately be returning them. Merp.
