This turned out to be much larger than I expected, compared to the equivalent 2x 500w halogen. So it is more unwieldy to move around. However, love the lower energy requirement, and it puts out enough light. Just didn't realize from the pictures how big it would be. Also, the top of the light has a rather large logo that makes the product a bit unsightly. But I would still recommend it for the light it puts out for the energy used.

Poor design and cheap construction
Very poorly designed. Stand broke after two weeks of use when the plastic parts that hold it in place failed.
I had another two sets of similar fluorescent work lights, and one failed after about four years of use, so I ordered this as a replacement.
One of the reasons the plastic parts on the bottom tripod may have failed is because the two light fixtures are REALLY HEAVY, and on the set I purchased, they are unbalanced, with one side hanging down a few inches, which the other side points up a few inches?
Also, as someone else pointed out, the lights cannot be adjusted upwards from a 90 degree outward pointing angle. So you can NOT tilt the lights up!
These lights are great if you want to save money on electricity, as I used them for security lamps, have them on all night, and the usual halogen would be too expensive. 130 watts for these two, as compared to 1000 watts for two halogen work lamps.
But the design is flawed, and cheap parts are used.
Strangely enough, I was able to use the tripod from my older model which had failed after about four years of use, and this recent purchase is still sitting there on my porch, shining on, using a tripod from an older model.

Good light for a small shop
My small garage wood working shop is not well lit, and with these lights, I am able to work anywhere with decent illumination.
Pros: -Detachable and independently swiveling lamps
-Stays cool, doesn't add heat to my shop
-Replacement bulbs not pricey
-Lightweight, portable, easily adjustable
Cons: -Lamps don't angle below level( but does
elevate)
-sidelight can add strong shadows
-fairly large footprint
-Light is very white, washes out colors

Worked great
We tried these for our field deployments and they worked great. Very bright. We set up 5 of these during hours of darkness in a 300ft diameter circle and it was like working during the day. Would recommend this to anyone.
