I thought this would be the answer to my groundhog problem. The groundhog dug it all out faster than it took me to put it into the hole & fill it with water. Does this product have a money-back guarantee?

Best product for gofer control
I got a smaller weight of this and loved it so much I went ahead and bought a bigger bag. Well worth the cost. The product worked great, just followed the instructions then capped off the holes with what they call plugs. No one would notice the holes were even there.

Fills tunnel but expensive if it's a large one.
These pellets work to fill small animal holes. I used them for a ground squirrel, which makes a much bigger hole than a gopher, and so I had to use several applications of a much greater amount of pellets than the instructions called for. You put the pellets in the hole and then flush with water. The pellets disappear and you turn off the water. Nothing happens at first, so you take a break and then repeat. After several rounds, the hole fills with a wet soil mixture. If not, check it again in the morning. The resulting plug is pretty soft so I crammed in extra dirt until things began to feel more solid. In the end I had to use about 3/4 of the bag (!) to fill one tunnel. But it's still in place after several weeks, so that's good. It's not clear how long the plug will be effective.
I do not have any experience about its effectiveness with gopher holes.

expensive, unlikely to work
Getting rid of gophers can be tough.
I spent about two weeks using up an entire bag filling in the gopher holes about 3 or 4 times.
The gopher would end up pushing out a big pile of the stuff the next day.
I was hoping to get rid of it alive rather than dead and the idea of filling in the tunnels it dug out sounded like a good idea. That's why I got this stuff.
I believe this product could work, theoretically, but it's kind of a long shot. It's not a total fraud or anything. The pellets did expand as they said they would. It's just that if the gopher has any little pocket of air or unfilled tunnel it's not coming out. I did push the gopher out of one area of my lawn but he found an area where I couldn't get him out.
Definitely not a sure thing and also really expensive.

Spend the money on a trapper
It took this 6 lb bag to fill ONE groundhog hole from ONE end. And they don't go away, they just make new holes. Save the money, pay for a professional trapper to get rid of them once and for all (unless you're somewhere that you can trap and 'take care' of them yourself legally). It's just wishful thinking that anything non-lethal will make them leave your property.

waste of money
Used product per instruction. Day after filled the holes with product, ground squirrels dug out existing holes or next to them. I don't believe any of the rodents died by beeing trapped in the holes.

Not really effective and VERY expensive
We have a large vegetable garden (about 60x50 ft.) and quite a bit invested in seeds, seedlings and effort. We've been battling gophers for months and had hoped Tunnel Fill would finally help get rid of these destructive pests.
I first ordered the 1.5 lb. can and that seemed to work OK in one tunnel so I ordered the 6 lb. bag from HD. I am now half-way through the bag trying to fill one single tunnel and the gopher keeps coming back every day and plugging the end (as evidenced by the freshly mounded dirt).
About forty feet down a gentle slope from the hole there is another gopher mound and the first time I used the product some water and some of the pellets came out at that end. The hydrated pellets were now about the size of a cotton ball so it does not seem likely that that rate of expansion would fill a whole tunnel. Not unless we used forty or fifty pounds of the stuff!
I've used the product six times and water keeps coming out at the same end so it is obvious that the product is not filling the tunnel as claimed.
It is unfortunate because I really wanted the product to work but at the price this is, at best, a marginal solution. I am glad the other reviewers founded effective but they may have been just lucky.

Very easy to use.
I have a large yard and have had a gopher problem for a while and have tried several different methods for getting rid of them. Tunnel Fill was the quickest and easiest solution. It was easy to use and I haven't had a recurring problem since I used it. I would recommend this to anyone that has gopher issues.
