Garbage. The blade is very dull out of the gate, but even after sharpening, the blade does not perform properly. This is most likely due to how the blade is attached to the handle. In order to work as good as possible, you'd need to have a very nonergonomic stance. Spend the extra cash on a proper scythe (which are hard to find, hence me buying this).

This thing is totally useless weeds laugh at it.I think that would be seriously challenged by warm butter.

I am so happy to find a device with a handle long enough to sweep trim grass and small weeds. The 12 in. is for the blade and not the handle. Many only come with short handle and you have to bend over. Thanks for saving my back!

Works okay. Glad the blade angle can be adjusted slightly.

This product is easy to assemble and works great. This is just what I was looking for. I was attempting to clear vines from the backyard. I rented a brush hog, but that barely cut the leaves of the vines. This device was great in that the curved blade slides under the vines and pulls them up with one easy lift. Works even better on dead vines that have been sprayed with brush killer. However, it takes a couple of passes on the fresh vines. Also, it is a perfect lenght to keep you from having to bend down to clear the vines. This item will save your back and time. Definately worth the investment.

The scythe materials are of reasonable quality for the price. However the bolts that were included for attaching the blade to the handle needed to be replaced. Once that was done the product worked quite satisfactorily.

To assemble this was a little difficult for me. I could not work with it, the handle is too short and the blade is only sharp on one side. I was very disappointed.

Good product but, screws and nuts were missing and it looked like the fell out of the box_there was a tear in the box. Did not return bought hardware. Mcg needs to tape hardware to unit!

It came real sharp and works on any thing you can think of weeds,vines, water lilly

Product was well-made - good materials. But the design angles for the blade connecting to the handle were and still are a mystery to me. If you are three feet tall, it might work OK for you.

It did not come with instructions. I put it on, I think it is on wrong. Took it apart and put it together.many times. The screws are so small they kept dropping. Their has to be a better way. I am now fraustrated. I am taking it back to the store to see if they can figure it out. I am very disappointed.

It was easy to assemble and I cleared the tall weeds in my back yard in no time at all. if I never use it again, ( very unlikely), it is still worth the price.

Great for cutting Lilly pads in lake and other lake weeds.

Easy to put together. Was not sharp. I used it to cut down a row of Sunflowers. I Could NOT cut thru the sunflowers easily with one swing. I will sharpen and try again.

Much pleased. Light enough to allow you to work longer. Does a good job on weeds.

used for cutting weeds works really well could use little longer handle

First of all it is akward to use, not shape enough to cut hot butter. It was truly a waste of my money. I broke down and brought an old fashion slang blade, works great.

this product was used for less than 5 minutes before it bent out of shape. within a few days metal fatigue destroyed it. it does not hold an edge well either. it is, however, very inexpensive.

Worthless on grass, Maybe it will be of some use on weeds and vines
