Modern looking fan goes well with my bedroom decor. Good air flow on medium and high, but wobbly a little on high. Overall I’m happy.

I absolutely love this ceiling fan. I only had to buy a longer rod because our family room celing is so high. I was able to buy a perfect matching 18” extension and although the fan only has 3 blades it is very powerful and blows air enough to cover the entire room. It’s quiet and very good looking! I highly recommend this product.

Wife purchased , but did not realize the fan did not have a flush mount option , or so they say . I can assure you it can be flush mounted and will include a couple of pics to better explain. I mounted fan in a room that has 8' 3" ceiling , however i have built up concrete slab with plywood subfloor and nailed 3/4 oak floor down , leaving roughly 8 ft between new floor and ceiling . Had i installed the down rod with fan it would have been a constant obstacle as well as limited the air movement to roughly a 5 ft pattern . In addition to flush mount , i choose not to wire with remote kit , having a second wire to that location i wired with a switch and slider combo . Switch is 3 speed and toggle is light off and on , ( yes you will need a 3rd wire , ie black ( hot ) , a white (neutral ) and a "second" hot ( red , blue yellow ect .. ) . If you have conduit, you can pull 2 x new wires #12 or #14 and use one of the wires in conduit as pull string ., So far than fan run quite , air flow is good and light ( i replaced with led ) is fine. Time will tell . ( sorry if i made any typos )

This is about the 5th ceiling fan I've installed, and I have never had one wobble before. This one starts to develop a bad wobble when it is set on medium or higher. It also makes an annoying clicking sound when on high. Light is not bright enough for a 12'x15' room. Need to use extra floor lamps. Other than that, looks great, and moves a lot of air. I'm hoping the issues will get solved when the included balancing kit is installed.

I really can't complain about any features. The styling is modern but fits with my turn of the century decor (lots of darker wood, light bedding/window coverings, dark accents). We didn't have to use the balancing tools, it fit together very nicely. After reading other reviews while deciding to purchase this fan... the remote box fits snugly inside the "cap" that attaches to the ceiling box. Installation was relatively easy. About one hour from start to finish. It helps to have two sets of hands, a fillip's screw driver, & wire snips/stripper handy. Make sure you cut the electricity and are mounted to stud and you should be golden. Also, the remote feature makes installation easier - no futzing with a switch - the fan on/off, light on/off, and speed controls are through the remote which comes with a nice mount (I attached it to the side of our headboard - it's a smaller mount and blends into the room nicely/easily). We love the three speeds; the low speed is perfect to circulate air while we are sleeping to cool the room; medium and high really get air moving (our bedroom is approx 20'x20'). It's worth mentioning that the lighting should be more of an accent - it is dimmer than something with exposed bulbs. We have bed side lamps and between the 3 sources have plenty of lighting for the space. If the style/amount of light fits your interests look no further... this is a good fan.

Things I love about the fan: looks like it is high quality (I hate those fans where the blades look cheap), extremely quiet (can't even tell that it's on). The other reviewers are accurate about installation. The wiring on the remote receiver is too short and makes it difficult to insert the receiver into place once all of the wiring in hooked up. I unhooked the wires and re-attached them after getting the receiver in place. Other than that, install is not too bad. Also agree that the remote looks pretty dated, but it works and i keep it in a drawer anyway. Don't forget the 9v battery.

These fans are very nice and contemporary-looking. We bought 2 on sale for around $100 each. It was a great deal for the money. One fan didn't work after we installed it, so we had to return it to the Home Depot store and get a new one. As with all Hampton Bay fans, it is a BIT hard to install, because it is hard to squeeze the receiver into the space at the top of the fan assembly without pulling apart all the wiring connections you have just twisted together. But once you figure it out with one fan, the other fan installations go much quicker. Works great, looks great, is quiet, and we are happy with our purchase.

I like this fan. Some of my other ceiling fans do not go slow enough on the slow setting. This one is slow & quiet on low setting. The remote eliminates the hanging switch chains and hopefully will last longer than those mechanical pull switches. I got this fan 50% off so that helped a lot.

When it's all said and done, we'll have one of these in every room of the house, save the kitchen. The style is pretty unassuming, profile is perfect and function is just what we were looking for in a moderately priced ceiling fan.

Quality of fan is very good, but had to work one of the fan blade screws in very carefully as the threading was not right and screw not tight caused fan to wobble. After fixing this, the fan has only a slight wobble.

READ THIS REVIEW FIRST. They appear to have listened to past review issues and have corrected them all (almost). Specifically, (1) a 9-volt battery is now included for the remote, (2) the instructions are straight forward and clear (may have been rewritten?), (3) the way the remote sensor fits in the support bracket is very easy with more than enough room (smaller now?), (4) once you fit the sensor in place, the wiring is very easy, (5) the light is very, very bright, (6) still a lame remote but not terrible (think Back to the Future retro look). I had no issue with any balancing ... it was in perfect balance however, I think it's important that the bracket mounted to the ceiling be level (or close to it). I have found this to be true for several fans I have installed. Anyway, it's a great addition to our family room. We love the 3 blade look.

The fan works well and looks good. The remote looks like it is from the 1980s but other then that I don't have any complaints.

Fan looks great in daughter’s room. Light is perfect for a bedroom, and cools nicely.

The remote transmitter was very difficult to fit in the mounting stem.

Over all good! A little on the noisy side, all 4 that I purchased, had to have the blades balanced. The necessary blade balancing items did not come with the fan but had to be requested, takes too long. I bought my the items myself!

Install instructions are just okay. The fan looks great and is quiet. No pull chains is a nice clean look. Overall very happy with this fan.

I bought 4 Hampton Bay ceiling fans for my new home. All works well.

Was about to throw in the towel on this install until my sister showed me this review and I thought of tucking it in bracket as I was outside taking a break but previous review confirmed my idea and once wires where tucked and remote slid into bracket the rest was a breeze. Fan works amazing however the instructions for wiring could have been a little more clear.

Looks great! Only using it for a week, but so far so good.
