Design team could use some help! A few deficiencies.
This mower has been overall a good mower, but needs improvement The mower deck is easy to remove and re-attach for sharpening blades. Easy to operate. Rugged and well built with enough power. Areas needing improvement. I would be nice if the deck height could be raised higher maybe 2" for non-mowing and loading ease. The mower operates poorly over uneven terrain, but this could be easily remedied if Toro would design the front so that the Front wheels could float which would keep the rear wheels firmly on the ground. This would be easy for them to solve by welding a U shaped channel to the frame that the current front could slide into and pivot on. I have a moderate slope and this machine slides and tears up the lawn. Also the rear anti-scalp digs into lawns tearing up the surface. An oblong roller would prevent this instead of the steel curled plate currently used. So although it is overall a good mower, the design team wasn't quite diligent enough to make this a great mower.

Great product. Comfortable and easy to use.
Love the mower wish it had just a little more power and clearance around rear wheels for close trimming

To say that I am happy with my Toro MX3450 is an understatement.
We have large lot in town with a lot of raised garden beds, a fence around the back and other places that require quite a bit of maneuvering to mow around. The MX3450 caught my eye at our local dealer. It is just right for what I need. We bought our Toro last year (2016) in late summer. I had never used a zero turn, but the local dealer showed me the basics in the parking lot and I learned to operate it in an open area of our front lawn. I Love it! The only reason that I gave a Good rating on quality, even though the quality of the machine is Excellent, is because of the location of the engine oil drain. It is too close to the solid frame to easily drain the oil. A drain hole in the frame would be great. Changing the oil after the first 5 hours of operation was interesting, but I got it done using some suggestions given by the dealer's shop mechanic. Using this mower has saved me an hour of mowing time.

            Excellent
Love everything about it. Make sure you keep the tires inflated evenly and near max psi otherwise you get an uneven cut. Also do not use it on soft grass due to rain. The tires will rut your yard. I have a small yard and have had to figure out minimal turns while in the grass. I know all this sounds negative, but I really do love it!!

            MX3450
I just received my mower after purchasing it online, it arrived in a crate that was well made. The removal from the crate took me about 45 minutes. I assembled the mower in about 1 hour which is pretty straight forward. I also bought the bagger attachment and installed it as well. I performed my initial test drive to get it adjusted and heard a squealing sound coming from the mower deck and discovered the drive belt was not attached to one of the pulley wheels connected to the left blade, reset the belt and everything works as expected. I would suggest watching and reading about the driving operation and take it slow at first to prevent putting divots in your lawn like I did my first try out. The belt did get a bit beat up from not being on the pulley properly so be sure to inspect it before your first try. I plan on contacting customer service in hopes of getting a replacement belt. I will follow up to let you know how it went.
