Love the tiles, the only issue I had is that it seems like the tiles I got came from two batches. So, they had inconsistent finished texture. I ordered a total of 12 boxes, and half of them were relatively smooth on the top, and half were rougher. I would have been ok with them if they were all smooth, or all rough, but half with two different textures, not so excited about, but not bad enough to return. All things considered, very happy with the end result, but that's because I did a really good job on the cuts around the edges of the room, and at the door threshold. See pictures. Take your time with the installation, measure twice, use a large 90 degree angle square when you measure and make your cuts.

    Good addition to a workshop
This tile flooring pack is a good idea for any shop. The pads have good grip, so that helps to eliminate slippery surfaces. They also have a good feel of relief without feeling too soft and potentially sacrificing longevity. My only complaint is my kit lacked a corner border piece. Given the puzzle piece design that is a plus to lock the mat together nicely, this turns into a failure point. The tabs sticking out make it easier to rip or trip on. The option to fix this is possibly try to buy kits if they’re available and possibly combine the package. Otherwise, a person would lose that width in each direction if the decision was to cut the tabs off even along each side. Given the affordability of the packages, I don’t consider it an issue to order more and either expand the mat, or some other solution of that kind.

    Rubber Tile Flooring
The first thing you want to do is to take the product out of the box and take it outside to air. If you don't you will have a strong rubber smell for a few days. I was only 1/4" thick, I was hoping it would be a little thicker. If you are on your feet for very long it will effect you. It was pretty simple to put together once you figure how to interlocking pieces together. It does stick to the floor and doesn't move. It resilient against staining, mildew, mold and static resistant. Item is made in the USA.

This mat will save your feet and back
I like this mat as it cushions my feet on the concrete floor of my garage. It has decreased the pain in my feet and back when working for hours in the garage. It was relatively easy to assemble, but because it is a dense rubber product it take a little effort to assemble the mat pressing the "ears" together. These ears are large enough to hold the sections together very well. It comes with 6 tiles, 6 edges & 4 corners & allows you to assemble one large mat or two smaller ones. I chose to divide it up into two smaller mats; one in front of the lathe & one at the drill press. The mats can be arranged to form a rectangle or a square as you need. They are also textured so there is no worry about slipping from spilt oil or water. The mats have a very good non slip textured surface.

    Poor Floor
I was very dissatisfied with this flooding from start to finish. I selected this product for my basement where I workout on cement floor and wanted it for padding. Putting the floor together was a huge hassle, as you put one part together another part comes un done. The thickness of this product is inadequate to provide joint protection for exercising on. I suppose it would do a decent job if you were just using it to protect your floor from scratches but I do not recommend doing any sort of plyometric training on this. I noticed no significant difference standing on the padding vs the cement.

    Good for Reducing Standing Fatigue
Right out of the box these tiles reek of rubber – recycled rubber in fact – that is great but they will need some time to get rid of the odor. The rubber is very dense and heavy yet only about ¼” thick. I am using these tiles in a non-standard pattern just one tile wide and that means I do not have enough edge pieces to finish the mat. I will see if I can obtain additional edge pieces and, if not, I will cut off the whole of the back interlocking edge. Interlocking the tiles is not difficult but it is a bit fiddly and tiring on the fingers. The rubber is so dense that a bit of force is required to get the pieces locked together and each of the connections laying flat. There are a couple of areas that are popping up but I hope that time will cause the pieces to settle down. The instructions say to tap any proud pieces with a mallet to flatten but I didn’t find that made much difference most of the time. I am using this mat to reduce fatigue on the body that is caused by standing still on a hard, flat surface for a long time … and it definitely works! I was stood at my workstation for a long time and did not feel stiff or uncomfortable when I finished what I was doing and moved away.

Rubber flooring a little thin ....
Even though this flooring tile is a little thin, it serves the purpose. I have it in my shop to reduce leg fatigue and it would help if it was thicker. The thickness would be perfect for garage flooring, but for the shop ... thicker would be better. It is made from recycled rubber and easy to install. There a six pieces in a box and the box has 6 edges ... Overall, I'll use it because I have it, but will purchase thicker tiles for standing areas in the shop.

Smelly and a pain to assemble, but they work GREAT!
These tiles have a great non-slip coating (almost like asphalt) on the top which is great for standing on, but not so great for doing pushups on, etc.. They don't slide around on the floor which is a huge plus. Actual size when assembled (2 across by 3 up) is 3' x 4.5' I suggest installing these in a very well ventilated area! The rubber smell is awful in the room where these were installed in my house. It took me way longer than expected to assemble these 6 tiles. The sections need to be worked carefully by hand because the material is very flexible. You can't just pop them down with a few pushes like thicker foam types. I also kept getting high spots where the tiles would stick up at the connections. This was finally resolved by squaring up the entire mat but sometimes an edge will pop up here and there. I ended up using them as a floor mat in front of a dart board (over vinyl plank flooring -which actually stops darts from scarring the floor) and is really comfortable to stand on.

    Great for the home gym
These tiles were very easy to put together, and once assembled, are seamless. The texture was not quite what I expected (I expected more of a matte black finish; these are more textured and scintillating). They were not as squishy as I thought they would be, either. In fact, they are quite solid--like tire tread. I originally purchased these to use as an anti-fatigue mat under my standing desk, however, because they weren't as squishy as I thought they would have been, I instead I brought them into the home gym. I have been using an old carpet under the weights to protect the flooring, but the Titan Tiles give me much more ease of mind in regards to potentially dropping weights. The rubber tiles seem to absorb quite a bit of force, and I don't have to worry about dropping things and breaking the floor (or the things which I drop). A great replacement to the carpet. I plan on purchasing more of these for the work area in the garage to ease the clanking of dropping tools and supplies on the cement slab. I would recommend this for use in home gyms, garages, shops, or other work areas prone to dropping things, as it protects both the floor and the things. The flooring is easy to clean by vacuuming or wiping down with a moist cloth.

    Tough and durable rubber flooring
I like these tiles. They're only 0.25" gauge (thickness), but they're good quality rubber and don't dent when equipment is put on them. They definitely smell strongly of rubber even after you've aired them out (per the instructions on the box), but hopefully the smell will dissipate over time. I really had to work to assemble 14.3 sq ft ( one box and that includes the edges), but the finger pain was worth it. These tiles lock together tightly (it looks seamless) so they won't detach when doing high impact exercises. There was only one edge piece that didn't fit perfectly (was off by 1/32"), but it's fine for my application. Most of my home gym is foam flooring which is significantly less expensive than rubber. Unlike the foam tiles though, the Titan rubber tiles have great traction (not slippery), they stay together better during high impact workouts, and equipment/weights don't leave dents. Since I can't afford to do our entire workout area with rubber tiles, I was hoping to put rubber tiles under the treadmill and perhaps the elliptical. Unfortunately, one package isn't enough for a treadmill or elliptical (fully assembled one box is 54.25" x 38"). It's even too small for the full length of my bench so I'll be using this set for high impact workouts until I can save to buy more.

    Good Product For Certain Applications
I was looking for a comfortable floor covering to stand on for long periods of time, and that would wear well in a shop environment, and came upon these interlocking tiles as a potential solution. I thought that since they are individual tiles, they could be easily configured for a more “custom” fit, for example around protruding base cabinets (see picture). To a degree these tiles might be customized to fit something other than a “square” area. The large tiles readily snap together, but the finish edges won’t precisely fit inside corners (see picture). Therefore in order to configure them, you will need to be very proficient at cutting heavy rubber material into precise shapes (i.e., a "jig saw pattern") with a sharp utility knife – not something I can do. Also, there is not enough “edge” tile in the standard box, to accommodate a different form. So I am left with an unfinished edge for my workbench mat, unless I choose get another full box to gain a few small pieces for my application. I think this product is really intended to be used for a physical work-out area, more than it is for most other applications because it does sport a nice comfortable, nonslip surface to do floor exercises and/or handle the beating of gym equipment. Because the edges have a small ¼” lip, it would probably NOT work as well in a hall or kitchen setting, where moderate foot traffic could be expected, although it might work well in a wall-to-wall application using a room-entry threshold. I let the tiles sit for a few days before installing them. They came together pretty easily, though I did not use a rubber hammer to install them – I got down on my knees and coaxed them together with my bare hands -- rather easy. A couple areas protrude some (see picture), but I think over time, with foot traffic they will behave better. I enjoy standing on these tiles much more than the cement floor and because my garage shop area is not intended to be a showroom, I am satisfied with the result. Others may not be so content with the unfinished look. The surface has a nice slip resistant texture that I would guess to be water-resistant (although I have not tested that feature). The solid black color is likely to show dust and dirt more readily than a mottled color finish, but that is less of a concern to me using the tiles as a workshop mat where everything gets dusty anyway. Assuming most consumers expect a finished look, I would recommend these tiles only for square floor configurations.

    Solid Mat.
I would recommend Titan Tile Rubber Tile Flooring. These mats are heavier then I thought they would be, which is nice because they are not flimsy. They come in the box ready to assemble, with edges and all. They are made of 99 percent recycled material, I always like that. They have a ruff and a smooth side, so they can be used either way. The one box makes up about the size of two regular floor mats. I used this right out side my back door, in the garage with the ruff side up. I think it will work good there for wet and dirty shoes. Stain resistant and easy to clean with a rag. I am happy with the tiles. If you do want to use them for larger spaces it will take several boxes. They go together very easy and the seams don't show once together.

The tiles are durable enough for what I use them for (exercise space in my garage), but I don't do any dropping of free weights on the floor. These are thinner than most rubber mats, so I would call them "light duty" mats. This is my second installation (phase two; extending my workout space), and with the first install, over a year ago, the mats still look new; they are holding up well. For the price, I'm very happy with them.

Unfortunately very poor control over thickness from box to box. About half of the boxes I received were so thin they were garbage. Rolling anything across them causes them to buckle and they do not match well with thicker mats. Thicker mats are great, I would give five stars if not for thin mats.

Not Home Depot’s fault per se, but I had bought some of these at a different store then ordered the rest through HD. The HD ones were way thinner and cheaply made. All print on the packaging was EXACT between both sets with the only difference being the color of the outside boxes. The thickness was .25 inch for both, yet the HD ones were easily 1/8 inch thinner and not nearly as rigid or trustable with a bar tip hitting and trusting the concrete would be safe underneath. HD should get on Titan for this error

    Buyer beware - SMELL
We bought these tiles for our basement home gym. Price was right and seems to be a quality product. Our only complaint is the smell - I’ve scrubbed them 4x with a neutral, natural cleaner and we let them roast in the AL sun for a week… still smells strongly of rubber. I guess this is normal for rubber mats, but Company should share more buyer education on how to dissipate the smell- we totally missed any advice before laying them down the first time. Ugh!

Assembly is slightly frustrating for the perimeter pieces. All of the tiles and edge strips aren't uniform. This causes some problems with the perimeter not laying flat. You can either try different edge strips to get them to fit or trim them. I purchased 6 boxes to use as gym flooring in my basement. Arranged in a 6X6 square with perimeter strips, the dimensions are about 8ft 6.5in by 8ft 6.5in. They had a pretty strong rubber smell out of the box. It does fade with time. The texture on these are rough. Doesn't feel great on hands and knees. Overall, I am satisfied with the product for the price.

The mats were easy to install with no tools required. There were a few issues with fitting tightly together but not many. They do have a heavy rubber odor out of the box but it is quickly dissipating over the course of a week.

They do smell so keep them in the garage. Aside from that, they are extremely durable and great for dropping heavy weights. They are thin, so we have them sitting on top of a foam mat for extra cushion.

Project summary: concrete garage floor to gym conversion. Pros: look great, fit together well, support heavy equipment/movement. Cons: time consuming install, smells like a rubber factory. A large, horrible rubber factory. This is after leaving them outside to air out for a full month first.

These panels are actually smaller than the 24 X 24 size the company advertises. So there is a lot of waste once you remove the border strips which allows you to interlock the panels. So when figuring room size requirements you need to allow for the 2" taken off each side that makes panel 20 X 20.

So far so good. They were relatively easy to install and seem pretty durable. The only minor downsides are that the side and corner pieces are all cut to slightly different sizes so they don't line up perfectly, and smell is pretty intense for about a week or two (it's winter cant open windows).
