The bar on the back of the shade does not slide down far enough into the slot to hide the wall panel it mounts to. And, once the panel problem is bypassed, the edge of the shade is not straight which means light escapes out the sides. It is a beautiful light but beauty only takes it so far, and for the price I would expect a much better design.

Very nice look
The glass shade has a bar across the back that slides into the fixture wall plate to hold the shade up. However, the groove in the wall plate wasn't deep enough (or the bar not welded high enough on the shade) for the shade to hang below the bottom edge of the wall plate. We had to snip the slot a little deeper so that the bottom of the glass shade hung below the the wall plate in order to hide the wall plate. The fixture looks very nice. Keep in mind that if the fixture is below eye level, you will see the unattractive innards of this fixture. ex. When hung in stairways.
