Although the best option for maintaining appearance during transportation, rolling may result in creases from time to time due to the organic nature of the backing. Allowing the rug to sit open for a few weeks will usually help it to relax. Water may be lightly misted on the backing which will loosen the weave, but the area must be able to dry thoroughly. This same process of rolling may cause the nap of the pile to lay in different directions, which can result in the appearance of differences in color. Once the fibers have had time to restore, it should look even. We hope you are able to enjoy your recent purchase.

We understand the frustration when an item does not arrive as expected. Our rugs are rolled for ideal shipping, but may have been stacked with other rugs, thus forming a crease. It is possible to remove the crease by lightly misting the back of the affected area with water. This allows the fibers to relax and straighten. We hope this will alleviate the issue.
