I have installed over 100 boxes of this product in two separate projects. The durability is impressive. I have labs that are over 100lbs each and the floor holds up amazing. This is an excellent alternative to traditional hardwood. It does not fade or discolor even when wet for an extended period of time. Perfect for bathroom and kitchen areas with high traffic. Installation does require some practice. The dependability of the product is based on the installation. Pieces do not function properly if you attemp to reuse them. Highly recommend.

We had Home Depot install 265 sq.ft. of Allure Ultra Vintage Oak in our kitchen and breakfast room in August 2011. The floor is lovely. The finished floor has the appearance of a hand-scraped wood floor. There is a lot of color variation in the planks, with lots of light and dark highlights in the medium dark "wood grain." This gives the floor a lot of visual interest as does all the texture of the "hand scraping." There is just enough distressing so that you won't be worried about that first scratch. Either the floor doesn't scratch or else they blend in. I can't see any after all these months. The floor is quiet to walk on. It does not make that odd noise that laminates have. It feels great on bare feet, too. The Home Depot installers showed up on time and did a good job. We did have to call them back in after 8 months because we had separation in five rows of planks where they ran the entire 27-foot length of both rooms. One plank in each row separated slightly (we could see a gray line at one end of these planks). The shorter rows were fine. The contractor came back and fixed the problem in about 20 minutes. This service was covered with no problem under the one-year installation guarantee. This floor is pretty, practical and economical. We love it. See the attached pictures.

We specifically purchased this product because we did not want cold, tile floor in our bath and we did not want a vulnerable system like ambient heat. Wood is usually not an option, however, the wood look of Trafficmaster Allure is fantastic. It is rough textured and not slippery when wet- and that's just it, it can get wet! There is no need for mats that can move under you or begin to smell over time. If you take time to jump on or stomp on floor to see if it's real wood- you can tell it is not. But as a sturdy, very easy and quick to install product- this has my favorite aesthetic.

The flooring looks amazing and really upgraded the look of our house. I was under the impression that his product was fairly resistant to scratches, however it scratches extremely easily and the scratches are very visible. I have so many scratches already, many just from sliding a chair in and out. If scratches aren't going to bother you, go for it, otherwise I would consider another product.

I am very please but would liked to have a better stair nosing product that matches floor.

The color that would do very well in our house was definitely in these samples!

The color is great if you are looking for LVP as not many in this color family are available. A good choice for LVP as it does look really good and has a very authentic wood feel.

Beautiful but I an trying to match my old tongue and groove but the two strip is to wide.

I am trying to match my 1890 tongue and groove going into the kitchen to the rest of "this old house". Although I like it and it is lovely the two strip design doesn't quite match what I already have.

Really helpful to get a good size sample affordably.

Since I have received the floor sample, it has assisted in our decision to order this vinyl flooring. Anxious to install it in our kitchen.

I find it difficult to understand being charged for samples when one spends thousands of dollars on the flooring

The sample wasn’t big enough

I returned the sample because providing somebody with a 5" square of context-less vinyl when there is NO Home Depot that shows the actual product in store is useless.The samples need to be much larger (preferably multiple planks of at least 10" long so we can imagine it laid down.) Wasted $.

Is was perfect!

Nice sample gives good idea of product color, pattern and quality. Perhaps the sample size has changed since the description was written, but my sample is 4ish x 7ish inches. Also, both the description and my local Home Depot assure me that samples are indeed returnable, as long as you're within the 90 day time frame. My sample's hue is far different than pictured, but that may just be my computer monitor's settings. I do like it even if not as expected from my monitor, and I'm glad I got it in order to be able to see it in my space. I'm not sure if it will be our 'pick' just yet, but it's a top contender, even if not the color I expected from the picture. I am impressed with the quality and believe it will stand up well in our multi-dog, multi-kid, dirt-driveway, hectic household. Even if not in this color, this is likely the product we'll go with.

This was so easy to put down and it looks amazing!!! we have had it for about two years and have three dogs and not a scratch on it!. It is the best looking floor we have in the house!

There's nothing wrong with the flooring sample - it is what it is. I failed to read the "No Refunds" fine print. I hope you don't do the same, as these samples are overpriced for what they are.
