I purchased two NailUp2 Wave Pattern Glass Block Windows with Vent windows. I liked the idea of vinyl frame construction and the ability to use a nailing flange for installation, as I have a 1930s era frame house. I was disappointed in the overall construction, as the vinyl frame on the top of the windows is not straight. One is bowed downward in the middle about 3/16" and the other a little less, about1/8". I used the nailing flanges to install both windows. Aside from the bowed head section of the windows I like everything else. Other reviewers have complained about the vent window seals and screens, but they are of decent quality, and much better than the 1930s vintage windows being replaced. I am planning on ordering more windows as there are five more to replace. However, I hope the next window frames are straight and square.

Purchased two of these glass block Windows to replace old double pane, wood frame windows in my basement. The original window frames were rotting due to heavy exposure to moisture. The replacement units were easy to install and there are many videos online showing exactly how to install. I did not use the nailing strips as mine were in installed in the concrete foundation. Purchased a bag of mortar and was able to install both windows in an afternoon. The windows allow enough light to enter but obscure the view due to the wave pattern. Great for security. Vents open easily and seal tight. Great upgrade for your basement!

Absolutely thrilled with this purchase! I needed to repair &/or replace basement windows in a 115 yr old house. Most of the old windows were boarded up &/or rotten. I replaced the old sills, faced the frames & painted them. Then I installed the new TAFCO windows. WOW!!! What a difference they made. The basement now has light & ventilation. They look fabulous & are very functional. They were also very easy to install.

Based off of the other reviews we bought three of these windows to replace the old, dated, metal framed ones in our basement. My husband and father in law put all three of these plus one regular window in, in one day. They said they were a breeze! They went right in! The frames of the old windows were cemented into the walls so we had to leave the old frame and cement these windows in, which was kinda what they planned for anyways. We also noticed, compared to the old windows, that these are much more energy efficient. The old windows you could walk by and feel the heat coming in from the outside. These you feel nothing. They are fantastic! We've even put the little window to good use feeding in the hose for the compressor as they are doing some framing as well. Father in Law loved the ease of the installation and my sister in law is now going to be ordering some for her house as well. Great, great buy! Would recommend 100%.

The part that opens is not really that air tight.

Easy install - just cleared out the old wooden frames, cleaned the existing masonry, shimmed the windows in place and mortar in. Very nice product at a reasonable cost and I especially like the operation of the vents.

I read reviews on product before purchase and you get what you pay for online. The window seemed heavy duty enough, as it was around 55 pounds shipped to door. It seemed well packaged when we brought into our home. Took it out of box and it seemed in good shape at time. It sat for awhile until my wife and I were prepared to put it into our garage to replace an old window. The day we decided to do the install I looked over the product and was wiping off the pieces of packing styrofoam, when I sliced the palm of my hand on the razor sharp obtrusion. Ouch, right. Here, someone at the manufacturer 'chipped' a corner of one block that was closest to the plastic, vented, drop down door, and 'glued' the piece back in. But it was not obvious or flush with the surface, until I found it by wiping it clean. I was tempted to send back, but it was a minor defect on the inside of the window and we were already behind on getting the job done. This is the hazards of buying sight unseen, online, and expecting any quality control being done at manufacturer. Did we expect too much when buying something brand new from an American made company?

Went in easily, with mortar. Screens have plastic latches so handle those with care. Best deal out there!

My installer installed two of these but during the process one glass was chipped in two places. I had installed 3 different name brand products of pre-assembled glass block windows. I think the chips might have been avoided if the installer had used masking tape to install and then clean off the windows. I will be purchasing an automotive glass kit to fix the window. thankfully the style's wave may conceal and cover the sharp chipped area. I expressly like the frame for the 2 back windows I had them installed since the window area had gone through some trauma that left the area rough.

Window is beautiful and well-made--glass blocks omit light yet offer complete privacy- little open-air window with screen allows ample ventilation. Brings the whole bathroom to life!
